บท 19: Consequences

Brann was not having a good day; he was called early in the morning by some hysteric officers needing help. When he arrived Ozpin was there and with him a bunch of Huntsmen and Huntresses trying to tell his men that they would take over the crime scene.

… Officer as I have said this is too dangerous to be under any government control as such it would be better if you left the protection of it to Huntsman and Huntress," Opin is explaining to an officer as Brann walks into earshot.

"What the hell are you trying to pull Ozpin attempting to take over a crime scene in Vale," Brann yells at Ozpin.

"Chief Brann this is so much more than a simple crime scene perhaps if you knew what was in this building you would understand," Ozpin replies calmly.

"Fine let's see what you are so worried about," Brann calms down a little knowing the influence Ozpin holds.

They walk through the bloody and ruined hallways until finally get to the room full of dead Huntsmen.

"Lord almighty so everybody is a confirmed Huntsman what the fuck is that," Brann screams when he sees what is behind a wall made of crystal.

Things made of flesh sitting on the ground covered in more squirming flesh or attempting to claw at the crystal room they are encased in. Five human-shaped blobs of flesh hit the crystal walls of their cell but no sound is heard on the other side five more just sat on the ground huddling up and one more that was just a torso was attached to the fleshy ground.

"What are those," Brann asks in horror.

"They are victims of SCP-610 otherwise known as The Flesh that Hates," a feminine voice says.

"So the victims of a virus we will need to look out for an outbreak shit," Brann says.

"There will be no outbreak of SCP-610 the only instance of it being released into Test Site 1," the woman's voice answers again.

"Chef Brann we were alone in this room please ready yourself for combat, please show yourself and explain how you know so much," Ozpin says readying himself.

"I can not show myself for I am not in the room but I know so much because my creator The Merchant created SCP-610," a screen pops up on the crystal wall.

"Who are you and why did he create SCP-610," Ozpin asks.

"My name is Bones and SCP-610 was an experiment to see if his abilities could extend to living things as well," Bones answers.

"Who is he and what is his objective," Ozpin asks.

"The continued survival of people is his objective," Bones answers part of the question.

"You must forgive me if after seeing this I am skeptical and you didn't answer my first question.

"This is controllable in the event of a breach this site will be cleansed in nuclear fire, and my master is a man with vast knowledge in how to cause death this is not the worst thing he could have made," Bones replies solemnly.

"But this is dangerous, this is a threat to people and what is nuclear fire," Brann cuts in.

"The closest thing to what you would understand is it is a star and SCP-610 is dangerous but it is controllable is barely airborne so someone infected with SCP-610 would half to touch you, unlike the flood which is spore-based and could just spread with a massive burst of there spores if containment was breached," Bones replies annoyed with the circular nature of the conversation.

"More dangerous than this… what could you master do to people if he was so inclined," Ozpin decides to raise the question.

"Turn the surface of the planet to glass, brake the planet in half, turn it into a massive ball of nanites, turn it into energy, disintegrate it, poison the atmosphere, introduce a virus that mutates humans into monsters, create an army of robots set on killing people, and so much more," Bones replies excitement clear in her voice.

"If he is so powerful, why does he need people to survive," Brann asks, not believing.

"Because he is lazy and doesn't want the extra work of rebuilding society and ruling it," Bones replies.

"Ozpin, how about some police and some Huntsman defend this place," Brann says, leaving the room.

"That sounds good," Ozpin replies, following him.
