"Anybody unrelated to this commotion, OUT!" Emperor Yang bellowed, his huge voice echoing to the high ceilings of the ballroom.

The princesses shuffled away, too afraid to make a single peep. Tianshi Xue was not in the mood to witness this scolding, but when she moved to step away, Prince Qui's arms held her in place. He shook his head at her.

"But I'm not a part of this!" she whispered, widening her eyes at him. She did not want to be here and get blamed for another royal's death! The emperor might play lottery and choose her to be the one who will pass the sentence. "I don't want to be here!"

"Unfortunately, you are a part of this family and you're going to stay."

Princess Zhenzhen and Princess Twinkle were now separated, looking angry but embarrassed with both of their heads down, eyes glaring at the floor.
