บท 643: 605. Madara is Innocent?!
"Everyone, this isn't the end of everything!"
Izuna's words draw everyone's attention. The shinobi bury the grief in their heart and listen to the words of the 'Hero' who saved the world from tragedy.
Even though the said 'Hero' has a questionable identity, being the grandson of the villain who initiated the war and claimed the lives of hundreds of thousands of people in this war. Numerous conflicting emotions linger in the hearts of these shinobi.
Izuna witnesses their emotions and sighs in his heart.
"I have to clear Grandfather's name. He wasn't the true mastermind of this war. The real mastermind is someone else."
Izuna opens his palm and releases a video image of Madara's conversation with Black Zetsu.
'This is the ability of a God!'
A God can perfectly recall any moment that happened in the past.
'Though I can't show the scenes of battle with Shutendōji since he is a higher level being than me and I can't influence his past.'
A massive image of Madara's conversation with Zetsu appears in the sky of Donut Island.
The expression of shinobis changes rapidly from shock, and anger, to disbelief, and doubt.
They turn toward Izuna with a skeptical gaze. And even a few directly question him.
"Is this some kind of genjutsu? Are you trying to brainwash us or are you trying to manipulate our memories to clear your grandfather's name?"
Several voices of discontent echo among the crowd. The expression of various Kages and commanders turns ugly. They already have information about the otherworldly aliens who are planning to invade their world from outside.
However, the bottom rung and elite tier shinobis are still unaware of the situation, leading to so many discontent voices.
Izuna calmly glances at their reaction and nods.
"I know several of you don't trust me, much less my source of information. However, I can prove it to you right now!"
Izuna extends his hands. Nine orbs appear in his palm. He releases them and the orb flies away, morphing into nine massive-tailed beasts.
"These are…"
The expression of shinobis changes at the appearance of the Tailed beasts.
"Kurama, you are alive?" Naruto waves at Kurama.
"I was never dead, you brat!" Kurama rolls his eyes.
"Did you miss me?"
"My other half was with you, so no!" Kurama waves his hand in dismissal.
"Ah, man! You are hurting my feelings!"
Next, Izuna glances at a corner of the sky and speaks.
"Why don't you show yourself, old man? You can't hide the truth from them for long. One day or another, they have to confront it."
"You are right! The truth can't be hidden anymore."
Suddenly, a massive Fuinjutsu circle appears on the island.
Swoosh…
The soul body of Hagoromo appears in the center of the Tailed Beasts. His otherworldly appearance with his horns frightens a few shinobis.
"That look… he looks similar to Obito and Madara!"
A few shinobis, including the Kages and commander, stare at Hagoromo in shock.
"He is the legendary Sage of Six Paths, the founder of the Ninshū, the peaceful form of chakra." Izuna introduces Hagoromo to everyone.
"The legendary Sage of Six Paths!" Several murmurs and whispers echo among the shinobis.
"The legend is real!" A few shinobi exclaim.
"Look at his eyes! They are… they are… Rinnegan!"
"It's really him!"
"Father!" The Nine-tailed beast bows to Hagoromo with respect.
"So, the myth that the Sage of Six Path created the Nine-tailed beasts is true!" Several shinobis gasp in shock.
The appearance of the Sage of Six Paths gave an enormous shock to everyone, even Madara and Hashirama. The former Kages also show his respect in the form of a bow.
"Old geezer, it's you!" Naruto points a finger toward the Sage of Six Paths.
"Brat, look how respectful everyone is to me. It's only you who is different!" Hagoromo smiled and glance at Izuna.
"Well, I am just built different!" Izuna shrugs his shoulder.
"And Naruto too!" He chuckled.
Hagoromo sighs and glances at everyone around him.
"Yes, what he told is the truth? I left a tablet of prophecy for the future generation which was later passed down as the 'Uchiha Stone tablet'. However, the Black Zetsu tempered its content and manipulated Madara accordingly to fulfill his goal. He not only manipulated Madara to wage war; even the previous warring era was started by him. The constant chaos and conflicts were Black Zetsu's creation. All these years, my soul could only helplessly watch him wreak havoc in the world, unable to do anything about it." Hagoromo sighs and waves the Six Paths Wand in his hand.
Several scenes of Black Zetsu starting war and conflicts appear one after another. The numerous scenes of war open the eyes of the shinobi and direct their hatred towards the Black Zetsu.
"Black Zetsu is dead! I killed him to avenge the fallen shinobis." Izuna clenches his fists to show his resolve.
"That bastard! He… he…" Several cries of agony and grief echo throughout the island.
"My grandfather is also a victim of Black Zetsu. He plotted against my grandfather, attempted to murder my grandmother, and even manipulated the heart of my grandfather to turn him against the world." Izuna relays the scenes of Black Zetsu's plot.
Even the Uzumaki clan, Senju clan, and several other clans were reduced to extinction by his schemes. Several scenes of White Zetsu, impersonating and infiltrating the camps of several shinobi nations, appear in front of the group.
"So, that's how everything happened! All these wars and conflicts. They were all set by the Black Zetsu." The fire of rage and hatred burns through the shinobis.
"You aren't the only one who fell victim to Black Zetsu's scheme. Even the mother of Shinobi, the source of all chakras, the mother of the Sage of Six Paths, Lady Kaguya, was also manipulated by him." Izuna continued.
"He even plotted against Lady Kaguya and manipulated her like Madara to turn her evil. In the end, Lord Hagoromo and his brother have to seal their mother."
Izuna relays a few more scenes of battle between Hagoromo, Hamura, and Kaguya to everyone.
With the abilities of a God, he can peek through the past, present, and even possible future trajectories of the world.
"Mother!" Even Hagoromo clenches his Six Paths Wand as he witnesses several scenes of a kind-hearted, benevolent, compassionate woman turning into a tyrant who aims to control the world.
Izuna turns towards Hagoromo.
"Old man, I will give you a little surprise. Even without my previous abilities, I was capable of it, much less now!"
Izuna claps his palm.
Whoosh…
Suddenly, the surrounding space expands by several folds. The little island becomes massive with the expansion of space.
Izuna and Hagoromo stand in the center of the new space.
"Dimensional expansion!" Minato gasps in surprise.
"Come!" Izuna opens his palm and releases nine different orbs of chakra.
Whoosh… whoosh… whoosh…
Another massive Fuinjutsu formation with a scale much larger than before appears on the ground.
The nine orbs of chakra land on the nine different nodes of the massive Fuinjutsu formation.
Rumble… Rumble…
The center of the formation trembles and the husk of the Ten-tail, Gedo statue appears.
"Kaguya fused her body with the Shinju tree to gain more power. However, that resultant fusion corrupted her even further since the Black Zetsu was the will manifestation of Shinju."
Izuna explained to Hagoromo.
"Now what's left is the body of the Shinju tree. I will separate it from Kaguya's body."
HAAH…
Izuna claps his palm. A Yin-yang circle appears beneath the Gedo Statue.
"Creation of All Things: Yin-Yang Reversal,"
Izuna slowly separates his palms. In the center of the formation, the massive Gedo statue trembles. Two different shadows, one of a massive tree and another of a woman, slowly separate from it and settle in the black and white dots of the massive Yin-yang symbol.
The massive Yin-yang seal disperses to reveal Kaguya's body.
"Mother!"
Hagoromo quickly flies beside her. Tears overflow from her eyes.
"I can't sense her soul!" He glances at Kaguya's body.
"Black Zetsu imprisoned her soul."
Two orbs fly out from Izuna's hand. The orb envelops the shadow of the Shinju tree and seals it. The second orb floats above Kaguya's body, revealing a sleeping figure similar to Kaguya.
"That's… that's mother's soul!" Hagoromo feels a connection with the sleeping soul.
"It's indeed Kaguya's soul. Her soul is currently in hibernation. Waking her up and fusing her body with her soul requires a large amount of chakra."
The Nine orbs turn into the shadows of the Tailed Beasts.
"That's…"
"They are chakra projections of the Nine-tailed beasts. I took some of their chakra, cultivated and harvested it to such an extent. These chakra projections don't have any consciousness, only the chakra nature of their original bodies." Izuna shakes his head.
"Also, the chakra of the tailed beast was originally Kaguya's to begin with. So, this chakra source will be in perfect harmony with her."
"KAI!" Izuna claps his palm and the seal over Kaguya's soul disperses.
Kaguya's soul and body overlap with each other and slowly merge.
Fwoosh… Fwoosh…
The entire chakra formation lights up and the chakra from the nine-tailed beast projection slowly enters Kaguya's body and revitalizes it.
