Clark chuckled, seeing that he was a bit afraid of him, "No, no, please don't worry. I am actually here to keep you safe. Jen has been under my orders for quite some time, and she has mentioned that you've been helping her."

"I see… But I'm not in D.M. Cadre anymore, so I don't think I can help-"

"Dr. Cytus," Clark said in a low voice, sensing that the scientists' eyes darted away from his gaze. It was an indication that he's trying to hide something, "I know what you're working on right now. And I'm sure, D.M. Cadre will do everything to stop your experiment."

Cold sweat formed on his forehead, and he trembled at the Major General's intimidating eyes, "How… How did you know about this? It wasn't published yet."
