The meal ended faster than Arkien had anticipated. Leilani spoke to everyone with a very sweet smile on her face. It was a smile that Arkien had never seen before, considering he had never seen her working or in meetings. Even the Shadow King warmed up to her, and that was something that he considered a feat on its own. 

The Shadow King, Axmad Boipalo Zavilina, was one of the most conservative males Arkien had ever met. Due to his backward thinking, he never thought of women to be in the same level that men were. One could say that he was a very masochistic man. However, it was just that he took his chauvinistic self to a higher extreme than other men would.
