บท 349: VALENTINE SPECIAL

300 YEARS AGO (HUMAN SIDE OF THE GATE TIMELINE)

It was silent in the forest, devoid of even the sounds of birds chirping. It was almost as if the forest itself could feel the despair of the children of the water. In the silence of the forest, the thudding of heavy boots could be heard. "Quickly, they went this way!" A deep voice shouted. The man leading the pursuers had a deep frown on his face as they changed their direction.

A few kilometers from where the pursuers were, the trees rustled, and close to a stream, a group of people appeared from the thick foliage of trees. Some of them were floating a few meters off of the ground as they carried items on their backs. Their wings were transparent, and they had colorful hair that was difficult to hide in the greenery of the trees.
