Duchess Grandis paced in front of her daughter's bedroom. She bit on her finger and her brows knitted. She glanced at the door and sighed, her worries raged in her heart. She was out when she learned that Cailina lost her consciousness all of a sudden.
She left the tea party that was hosted by a royal relative and pushed back her upcoming appointments. The room's deafening silence accompanied her as she waited for her daughter to open her eyes.
The doctor exited Cailina's room and was immediately questioned by the Duchess. Her worried expression was displayed in front of him.
"Would my daughter wake anytime soon?" She asked, her voice shaking as she tried to keep her composure.
Cailina was her one and only child. She could not lose her, her status as Duchess wasn't important if she would have to sacrifice her daughter.
