บท 88: Never sending me away

"Where are we going, Dominic? It's not the way to our house." I asked as I looked from the window at him with confusion. 

"Hospital." He answered curtly as he kept doing something on his phone. 

His expression was serious and his demeanor was stiff from the time we started our journey from Chicago airport. Dominic had been there to pick me up. We have traveled in a private jet which belongs to Dominic for sure. After landing in New York airport, we got into Dominic's car and this time he brought a driver with him, who is now driving us to…. Hospital?

Everything happened so quickly that I couldn't understand what's going on. It was just yesterday with the fiasco of aunt Lina and now I am in New York, almost five days before I complete my one and half months stay there. 

"Hospital? Why?" I asked in confusion. 

He looked up from his phone and gave me a blank look. Even though the look was blank, there was a lot hidden behind that blank look.
