Some walks later it's been 10 minutes now and we haven't seen anything besides some buildings that were crumbled in this city. Seeing as the streets aren't very deserted there were a few cars and roads here seeing as there wasn't a bloodbath around here or any.
It started to suddenly rain on us as the sky turned dark from the black clouds. It rained heavily on us as we walked on the road which was a good thing since we were all mostly covered by the blood.
Our heads and shirts were clean by the rain rinsing the blood off of us. Ava kept walking upright holding onto the bags, not tired at all. I have no idea what she was thinking but she kept looking around us as if she was looking for someone or something.
Isra was walking with her head down barely holding onto the rifle I gave to her. I could tell that she was really tired after all that running and staying focused for a long time. I started to think it would be fine to rest somewhere in a building.
After some walks later we weren't lucky enough for there to be any store like the one we were in before that was still up and not destroyed. Now all I see are just destroyed buildings and some little pieces of rocks. There was even a whole skeleton in a car that we could see as the windshield of the car had been broken in by a single tentacle that was now dead.
I kept looking around and finally found a bus stop where we could rest. Luckily enough it had a cover to cover us from the rain. We went under it and Ava sat down putting down the bags gently and her knives away into her knife holder that's attached to her thighs.
Isra just dropped right onto the bench and took most of the space. Her hand was dangling out while the rifle was caught by me when she fell on the bench. I sat down also learning on the side with one leg on the bench and the other on the ground. I nodded off a while after this.
15 minutes had passed and I had woken up Ava and Isra was still sleeping. Now we only have 29 minutes left until it comes back stronger. The rain had lessened.
"They must've been really tired to sleep this long under this heavy rain."
I stood up right after I woke up stretching my arms out. I have no idea how but I had a really good sleep. I was thinking that I should wake them up now since we're barely halfway there with only 29 minutes left.
I went over to Ava and woke her up. She woke up immediately just when I was going to shake her by the shoulder. Isra was still taking most of the space in the middle of the bench with both her arms now touching the wet ground and her head facing to the side of the bench.
I shook Isra to wake her up but she fell on the ground instead and woke up.
"Huh why am I on the floor?" Wondering.
"You fell while you were sleeping."
Isra stood up and I could see a red mark on the right side of her cheek because of the bench.
"We have to go now. We're barely halfway out of this city."
"We can just use the hovercycle." Ava said.
"Only two people can ride it."
"Hovercycle?!"
Ava brings the hovercycle out and same as before it appears out of the ball. I could see on Ava's face that she was expecting something that would fascinate her. Her eyes lit up into an orange color for a second but then went back to a brown color after seeing the hovercycle.
"Oh, I was thinking it would look more amazing." says disappointed.
"What was that?" I said.
What?"
"Your eye color changed."
"Well, My eyes always change when I have a strong feeling."
"That's awesome but we really should start going now."
Ava puts the hover cycle back inside the ball. I gave the rifle back to Isra as she was treating it as her own weapon since she had named it "Photon Rifle" which seemed like a better name then mine. I took the lightest bag and put it on since it seemed that my body was stronger now.
"Master, Since being with you it seemed that every time you consumed blood by drinking it instead of absorbing from the skin. Your body seemed to get stronger by just a little even though you wouldn't be able to have felt you got stronger."
"I should be able to do anything a fit person would be able to do now. By the way both of you should already know but we're getting the hell out of this damn city and there's a crack in the wall we can go through."
After we were all ready we headed to the wall. Walking for 10 minutes I could see the wall which was still far away with my eyes which was normal now. The area didn't have any roads to lead us now it looked like nature was growing back.
"Something feels strange?" Ava says.
"It looks pretty normal to me?" Isra says.
