"Did you know the ring is useless? At first, I thought maybe I didn't see anything because I hadn't slept well enough, and then I pleaded with her to let me have it, but she adamantly refused. I can't believe I went through the stress to have it stolen, only to wear it all night, and no fucking thing happened!" Nicole snapped, making Joan burst into laughter. 

"I see she got you too," Joan said and then paused, "Wait! What? You're the one who stole the ring? She has been searching everywhere for it!" Joan exclaimed. 

"That serves her right for making a fool of me. You won't believe I saw a similar ring with someone! There is absolutely nothing special about the ring. I really feel so pissed right now. You know what? Call her over! I need to take this out on her!" Nicole ordered. 

"I don't think that's a good idea," Joan said with a shake of her head.
