I wake up the next morning, a cold chill in the air. My body is shivering and I turn around to bury myself back under the duvet but I hit something or someone. I slowly turn and close my eyes, wishing it isn't who I think it is. . . Jake.

Jake Melvin is in my bed.

I take a deep breath, feeling myself beginning to panic. Calm down Emily, just think.

I replay last night events and vaguely remember the terrible nightmare. After that Jake climbed into my bed to comfort me and I let out a small groan. I shuffle away from him, very aware of how close our bodies are. He's sleeping soundly, his dark hair sticking out from under the duvet. His scent is everywhere, on the sheets, in the air and ravelled around me. I curse under my breath, tip toeing out of my room to head to the bathroom.
