After doing so, she moved to the basement. It was the place where her father liked to store his wine collection and his Spanish Ham legs, something that had to be put out of there or they'd get contaminated. 

"Vanilla," Rowie spoke, seeing Vanilla pilling up against the corner an old set of chairs. "Aren't you tired of Carol? Why don't we go?

"Happens that I am still a minor until I am 21 years old, Rowie. Blame the law. But don't worry, with the fortune of William Oaths being mine now we'll have more than enough money to move and live alone, free of her."

"And what about your father? Why doesn't he take you somewhere else?" The pup asked once again.

Vanilla was now checking out the barrels where the wine bottles were stored; six barrels laying in a horizontal position, one on another, making a honeycomb of six. "Like he's gonna ever do that," She said. "It's been a long time since I don't see him."

"When is he going to return?"
