Maya's POV

We are still laughing and talking when I saw Inez running on the staircase while Rich is running after her, and I realized something is going on with them. I am glad the guests didn't notice, and I think I was the only one looking at the grand staircase because I am still looking for my brother. I excused myself from Adonis, and he kissed my cheek before I walk away from him.

I quickly followed Rich, and I can see Dr. Inez gets inside her car while Richard was desperately calling her name. And I don't want to eavesdrop, but I am so concerned about my brother. He was begging for Inez to open the door, but she only opened the window.

"Rich, stop! You are hurting, and you don't need to explain everything to me because I know you are still in love with your ex-girlfriend. And I know I am a successful doctor, but I can never be as beautiful and wealthy as her." Inez said.
