Maya's POV

The food my brother prepared were all delicious, and I can tell it was all my favorite food, but I find it so hard to chew and swallow my meal because of Adonis's presence in my dining room. Even though he talked with my brother most of the time, I can't help myself from stealing glances at him. I felt happy that my brother reconciled with him since they were best friends, but I wouldn't say I like the idea that I will be dealing with him again. Ariana is back into my life, my best friend, and we talk and call each other after she went to the Hernandez Hacienda, and we had a heart-to-heart talk.
