Web-like patterns began appearing all over the light orb that's protecting her, and the feeling of danger could be felt deep in her heart. Jenny Mae knew that if the light barrier which is currently shielding her from that green liquid corrosive attack from the flood dragon breaks, then it would be her end.
Right at that moment, a streak of weak lightning suddenly flew out in the air and suddenly hits the flood dragon.
Then it was intensified when the lightning touches the green corrosive liquid. As a great conductor of electricity, the poisonous spit of the flood dragon backfired towards itself as it feels electricity running inside its body making it scream in pain.
The attack stopped and the flood dragon immediately retreated.
However, the abrupt disruption of the acid spit causes some of those highly corrosive drips to fly all over the place.
Some espers who did not expect such a thing to happen were caught off guard and suffer as they were hit by those corrosive acids.

Cry of pain and agony was heard all over the place.
Then suddenly the flood dragon that retreated turns its gaze towards a particular location.
The young man who attacked it with a lightning strike immediately came to its sight.
Alan Kane is still shaking but he was able to grasp the opportunity to help his friend. At that time, although he was afraid he forced himself to help Jenny Mae who is in trouble. As one of her best friends, he cared for her and wanted to help her.
As if gaining some strength, his resolve became strong and suddenly attacked the beasts.
However, now that he is seeing the giant creature looking straight at him. The strong resolve he had a while ago was suddenly gone. He could feel his heart seem to have stopped beating and breathing became hard.
His knees suddenly shake involuntarily as his eyes look at the large eyes of the flood dragon in fear.

But then before the flood dragon could do anything else a strong gust of wind suddenly hit its side throwing its huge figure towards a mountain wall.

Tempest, who has already finished gathering her energy, launched the sneak attack.
The flood dragon was immediately angered. However, it soon realized that it was about to face a very dangerous situation. It could feel the huge amount of energy the floating human is holding. It knew that if it is hit by that energy, then its life would be over.
As if by instinct, the flood dragon suddenly wanted to run towards the long river.
Meanwhile, those near Tempest could also feel a large amount of energy in her hands. They all knew that it was a very powerful attack.
"Damn it… this is the difference between our abilities."
"That's the power of a level 25 esper for you… she is very strong."
"Will she cause a huge tornado to appear?"
"What kind of energy is that? That's too overwhelming."
The espers around who have already retreated a distance away from the battlefield exclaimed upon feeling the huge amount of LEP energy that Tempest has conjured.
"She is truly the second strongest esper in the country," Vipercrown muttered to himself while shaking his head.
He already knew the disparity between their powers. But in his heart he is grateful that Tempest is someone who didn't like politics and in his team, she is not bossy and would always obey commands. This made him maintain his face as the leader of the Basilisk head.
However, looking at that woman in the air and the fluttering of her dress, he could not help but admire her for some reason. Though she already has a child, Vipercrown could not help but admire the beauty in his heart. But of course, he could not say it out loud.
Feeling the power of Tempest made everyone feel relieve even those who are already injured could feel that they still have hope in this battle.
"It's time to end this…" shouted Tempest as she suddenly made her move.
However, from afar, a tall woman showed a sneer on her beautiful face as she lifted her finger.
"Fire…" she casually said.
Bang!
A sniper suddenly shot a high powered rifle that is usually used to hunt down powerful beasts or espers.
The high-speed bullet flew without obstruction towards the lone figure of Tempest floating in the air.
Tempest felt the killing intent and wanted to dodge, but it was already too late. All she saw was a streak of light and the heard the sound.
With eyes wide open, she shifted her gaze at the incoming bullet. But her heart feels helpless. She has gained enough power to be able to protect the city and her family. She swore to be of use to the city and to do everything she can for her kids.
But she did not expect that her fellow human beings would be so cruel as to kill one of their own just to justify their own selfishness.
Yet she could not complain, she could not say anything, because everything is too late.
Ping!
A loud sound of something hitting a solid object interrupted her thought. Then suddenly, she noticed the thin film of light protecting her.
She suddenly remembers the masked man handing her a palm-sized folded yellow-colored paper. She didn't know why he gave her this, and she just kept it in her dress pocket. Her eyes were suddenly directed to that object because she noticed something glowing in her pocket.
She then shifted her gaze to the young woman who had the same defensive tool which activated when she was in danger.
Although still a bit confused, Tempest immediately returns her gaze to the flood dragon.
But soon she noticed that something is wrong. The flood dragon is actually gone!
She wanted to look for it. However, she didn't have time anymore as she felt another killing intent. Actually this time, there is more than one.
Then from the hidden dark spots of the forest, multiple gunshots began spewing bullets towards her and the other espers.
"Ambush! Defend yourselves!" she shouted as she focused her gaze towards the sniper's location.
The woman who signaled the shot suddenly felt a strong pressure.
Myst immediately run away from the area and vanished in the air.
"Damn it! How could she survive that? How could such a defensive object exist?" Myst grumbles as she ran frantically away.
Then suddenly…
Ka-boom!
A huge and powerful airwave obliterated the place where she has been. She already knew that those men in that area with her are already gone.
That was a blast from a level 25 wind esper, at the corner of her eyes she could even see the trees and rocks being shredded into pieces. And that scene gave her skull feel a tingling sensation and her scalp goes numb.
Meanwhile, on another part of the battlefield, Bromite and Bender, along with their teams have already engaged the espers from Kor city in a fight.
"Kill and leave no one alive!" shouted Bromite as he suddenly shot lava balls out of his hands.
Those who were hit by those deadly lava balls would either be burned or have holes on their bodies. And esper who wasn't prepared has his head blasted.
The battlefield became chaotic as the armed men suddenly assaulted the already wounded and power drained espers for Kor city.
"Damn those MPMA people! If I survive this, I swear to hunt them all down."
"I will fight you all to death!"
"Damn cowards!"
The espers shouted as they fight back against the armed men who relentlessly fire their weapons to ambush them.
Meanwhile, in this chaotic situation, Alan Kane is holding Jenny Mae as the two hide behind a large rock. She wanted to stop him but the feeling of being cared for by the man you like made Jenny Mae stop herself from rejecting this chance.
Her disappointment towards Alan Kane was immediately changed into gratefulness when he saved her at that time.
She knew that he was scared but for her, he overcame his fear and came to her rescue. In that instance which girl would not feel grateful and indebted?
Although she is also a bit curious about how she got that protection at that time, her curiosity could wait. This is one of those moments she has dreamed of and didn't want it to be wasted.
But then before she can immerse herself in that wonderful feeling, she suddenly thought of that person. He was kind to her, handsome, and showed her that he truly loves her. His changes these past few months that they met seem new which suddenly pique her interest.
Feeling that she is betraying the two men, Jenny Mae suddenly reacted and pushes Alan Kane's body slightly away from hers.
"Are you okay? Is something wrong?" Alan Kane's concerned tone made Jenny Mae's heart skip a beat.
"Damn…" she thought as she subconsciously looks at his concerned eyes.
She just subconsciously shakes her head, and then shifted her eyes to the battlefield. She could see that the other espers are in danger.
"I need to help them… Please stay here." Jenny Mae said as she suddenly rushed out of the hiding spot.
Alan Kane was a bit confused, but he saw her eyes. He saw that she seem to have complicated feelings towards him. He was not blind, he is not numb towards her feelings, but then his concern towards her is different.
But in this battle, he suddenly felt his heart waver a bit upon seeing her heroic aura while running fearlessly towards those armed people.
With blazing flames coming out of her every punch and sending towards those people, he could feel his emotion running wild.
"Do I… like her?" he subconsciously muttered to himself.
But then before he could think deeply, a bullet spark interrupted his thoughts.
