The previous Grand Matriarch had lived for a long time, even for a Lyrical. She had seen the arrival of the surface dwellers; humans, and those deemed similar to but not exactly the same.

As a being, who had been chosen by the world core herself, her creator she had been an arrogant female.

This had encouraged her to strive with her entire being to be worthy of that female who gave her life and disappeared.

'They will arrive soon. You only need to help them grow in power and guide those mortals below. Blend with them, understand them.'

She had seen them and found that they were unworthy.

A being made by her creator had to guide and protect life forms still in their infancy.

Still, she guided these creatures by the will of her master.

They shaped and changed the world, taking a portion of their own. She hated, but she obeyed.
