Third Person POV
Josh and Justen had finished their food and paid before they made their way back to Josh's truck.
"It's not even eight yet, wanna go do something else?" Josh asked, getting into the driver's seat of his truck.
"What were you thinking?" Justen asked.
"Arcade?" Josh asked.
"Ehh," Justen said.
"It's either that or we aimlessly walk through town," Josh said.
"I wouldn't mind a walk, how about you?" Justen asked.
"Are you sure you're up for it?" Josh asked.
"Let's see, am I up for a walk with my amazingly handsome boyfriend?" Justen asked as if he was seriously thinking about the question. "I've got the answer."
Josh rolled his eyes.
"I am ALWAYS up for a walk with my handsome boyfriend," Justen said.
"Well it's a good thing I'm always up for a walk with my crazy boyfriend or else we'd have a problem," Josh smirked.
"Great, then let's go," Justen said, getting out of the truck.
"Okay," Josh said, he too getting out of the truck.
Josh and Justen walked until they found a cafe.
"Wanna get some hot chocolate?" Josh asked.
"Yes, please," Justen said.
The two walked into the cafe and ordered their drinks. Once they had their drinks and they were paid for, Justen and Josh were out and about again.
"Is that a park over there?" Justen asked suddenly.
"Looks like it," Josh said. "Do you want to go?"
Josh turned to Justen only to find out that Justen was already running over to the park like a little child. Josh shook his head and laughed before following after Justen.
"What are you doing?" Josh asked, finding Justen laying on the merry go round.
"It's been so long since I went to a park, I forgot what to do," Justen said.
"Well, laying on the merry go round isn't exactly what you do," Josh said.
"Then what do I do?" Justen asked.
"Run around like an idiot," Josh said. "Sit on the swings, go down the slide, throw wood chips."
Suddenly, Josh felt wood chips hitting his back. Josh turned around to see Justen grabbing more wood chips.
"You are aware that this means war, right?" Josh asked.
"Yeah," Justen smirked.
Josh grabbed a handful of wood chips and threw them at Justen who was already grabbing more wood chips.
Josh and Justen threw their wood chips at the same time hitting each other before running to get more.
They continued like this until Josh tackled Justen.
"What are you doing? Don't you know that we are in a war?" Justen asked.
Josh just shrugged before he placed his lips on Justen's.
"I take that as you surrender?" Justen asked.
"How about a truce?" Josh asked.
"Fine by me," Justen said before kissing Josh.
The two kissed until they pulled away breathlessly.
"You have no idea how much I love you," Josh said.
"And you have no idea how much I love you," Justen said.
Josh smiled. "Are we going to fight about how much we love each other?" he asked.
"You're my shining star," Justen said.
"We are," Josh said. "You are my king."
"If I'm king does that mean you're my fool?" Justen asked.
"No, you're my fool because I am above you," Josh said.
"Who is above a king?" Justen asked.
"God," Josh said.
"Well, you certainly aren't God, so," Justen said.
"So, we're both fools then?" Josh asked.
"We're both fools for each other," Justen said.
"I'm fine with that," Josh said.
"I know you are," Justen smiled.
Justen's POV
When it was almost eleven, Josh and I decided to head back to our spot. We walked back to his truck and got into our normal seats.
"Random question, why don't you have a car?" Josh asked as he started the truck.
"My dad and I don't have enough money," I said. "However, I do have my license."
"When's the last time you drove?" Josh asked.
"I'll admit that it has been a while," I said, rubbing the back of my neck.
"Trade me spots," Josh said.
"What?" I asked.
"Did I stutter?" Josh asked.
"No," I said.
"Then what are you waiting for?" Josh asked.
"Well, I don't know how well I'll be," I said.
"If you want to trade at any time, we can just pull over," Josh said.
"Okay," I sighed, opening the door and getting out.
Josh followed suit and once he and I were at the front of the truck, he gave me a kiss on the cheek.
"You'll do fine," he said, getting into the passenger side.
I blushed and got into the driver's seat which was too far forward.
"Your seat is weird," I complained, beginning to readjust the driver's seat.
Josh rolled his eyes as I adjusted the mirror.
"Alright," Josh said, "let's get going."
"Why? Got somewhere to be?" I asked.
"I wanna get you home before eleven-thirty, now let's go," Josh said.
I nodded and got out of the parking lot and onto the road.
"You're doing good so far," Josh said. "The only complaint I have is that the speed limit is 55 and you're going 40."
"Ah, that's right," I said, pressing the gas pedal down a little more.
"So, we're coming up to a stop sign, make sure to stop," Josh said as I began to press the brake.
"I know what to do at a stop sign," I said, rolling my eyes.
"Okay," Josh said.
"Listen, I'm the one plucking this chicken, you just sit back and watch the feathers fly," I said.
"What the fuck is that supposed to mean?" Josh asked.
"It means that I'm driving and you're just sitting back and watching me," I said. "So, sit back, shut your mouth and let me drive."
Josh laughed. "Whatever you say," he said.
After almost ten minutes of driving and Josh telling me directions, we made it back to our spot.
"We're not dead!" Josh said, getting out of the truck.
"I wasn't that bad," I said, turning off the truck and getting out.
"You almost hit two cars," Josh said.
"But I didn't," I said, tossing him his keys.
"Just be glad I'm not bringing up the rabbit," Josh said.
"That rabbit was a living, breathing animal," I said. "I couldn't hit it."
"So you swerve and almost hit a tree instead?" Josh asked.
"You have a fair point but the rabbit was so cute," I said.
"You are such a dork," Josh laughed.
"But I'm your dork," I said.
"Good," Josh said. "Because if you weren't my dork, who's dork would you be?"
"Good point," I said.
"So what am I?" Josh asked.
"You're always going to be my fool," I said.
"Fine by me," Josh said, shrugging his shoulders.
"Really?" I asked.
"Yeah, because I love you and if that makes me a fool, so be it," Josh said.
"I love you too," I smiled.
