บท 978: A Combined Effort

In the St. Claire mansion,

Howard was right on the verge of falling asleep after the tiresome journey he had been on when a growl echoed in his mind, startling the drowsy youngster and jolting him awake.

Glancing around with an expression revealing his utter panic, the heir of the St. Claire's family furrowed his brows when he realized where this terribly annoying voice had originated from.

Slamming his head back on the pillow, Howard clenched his jaw as he responded to the one who had initiated this abrupt and unwelcome mental link.

'What is it?' His voice dripped with impatience as he stared at the pale ceiling above his bed.

Taylor Tanner, his best friend, had disturbed his sleep which was reason enough for him to be in a grumpy mood.

Howard had challenged Jax for a sparring match that would take place in just a few hours so he wished to use the time he now had to rest and save up his energy before their predetermined duel could begin.
