'Eh? Why is he so surprised?' Yvonne tilted her head as she stared at the man who was coughing without restraint.

The words that had come from the little girl's mouth stunned the man senseless as his grip over the brush had released, causing the wooden brush to fall to the ground.

He, on the other hand, was not bothered about the brush but about his little miss and the sudden query she had.

"Shall I fetch you some water?" She offered when he had not stopped even after quite a few seconds.

This made his eyes which were watering due to his coughing fit had now widened as he shook his head repeatedly.

"How could I ask the miss to do such a thing!?" He blurted out in a horrified tone as though that would be the biggest offense in the world.

Yvonne was astonished at his staunch refusal and decided to not argue with him any further.
