บท 3: BIRTH OF GENIUS POTIONEER

while my potion side going quite good I also didn't neglect my magical studies.I have memorized 1st and 2nd year books quite good I can get outstanding for theoretical in them.As for doing practical work,I have been not much successful.I can do charms of both 1st and 2nd year but it is quite difficult to maintain them as my magical capacity is not sufficient.Take levitation charm 'wingardium Leviosa' it is first year charm,I can lift a small brochure but maintaining at level is quite difficult.And it is more so for wandless magic.This where I had my second discovery.You know how in fictions it said that wand is crutch and spell is just mechanism to imagine effect of magic you want to have so you can put your intent into it.It is true on some level,wand is crutch but it is tool quite beneficial.for one I did a experiment with lumos charm where I did one wandless and with wand and incantation. Thats right! i got a wand.First time I held it was quite weird.I could control magic but it was not fully accepting it. I found my grandpa's wand actually [12 inches long and made of ash with a unicorn hair core.unfortunately it was same wand as ron weasley's first wand]it seems my father kept it as it is tradition in magical families as it symbolises you passing your work to next generation.Well that is what my father told me with warning not to play with that wand and no spellcasting. I nodded and thought 'It is only crime if your caught'.But he did take precaution to hid it which I found easily.Considering the crimes I am going to be doing this can be easily pardoned.Okay going back to experiment the outcome was that it took less magic and focus to maintain light using incantation and wand movement than wandless.And also after practising it a little bit i found that now I can just use that spell just saying incantation as if magic knows what to do.But for wandless after practising for months I did increase casting speed a bit but I have to actively move it and put my will into it. So I came to conclusion that practising incantation spell casting our bodies magic just gets used to it and we can do it effortlessly which also leads to silent casting. Also wand movements are important for begginers when using incantation as it moves your magic that way without you having to put more mental energy than necessary and efficiently.But this type of magic has limitation that you cant exceed the outcome made by incantation which pre determinedly weaved in spell.For example, take ['vermillious charm 'which creates red sparks] when using wand you can concentrate created sparks in a spray without using much mental energy as it is done by your wand but for wandless you need to use more mental energy.But in wandless you can freely control the outcome of spell like[intensity of sparks,colour of sparks,etc]as contrary to incantation use where no matter how much magic you give or intent you use colour won't change.It would just increase its power.So if you want to freely cast spell as you want you can use wandless magic at cost of more mental energy and magic or cast a spell using incantation with predetermined outcome efficiently.So I came with plan to train in both ways of casting . To increase magical capacity doing wandless as more magic drain more increase in capacity of body to flow magic.And using incantation for spell casting . Also for transfiguration it is same but here using your intent and shaping magic is of importance so it only makes difference in transfiguring speed and precise amount of magic needed. For example turning matchstick into needle, with wand you need to give precise amount and say incantation and do wand movements at beginning to transfigure but after some time you can bypass wand movement as you get clear idea of how much magic to use and clear image of outcome.As for wandless here all that matters is using precise amount of magic and clear intent on what outcome you want and voila you have transfigured it. And that has been my routine for last 3 months studying textbook,practising spells for 1st and 2nd year at point to easily maintain them,potion making and modifying the existing potion ,transfiguring a matchstick to needle and vice versa.I got a point where I even started to turn matchstick into a beautifully decorated needle with my initials. Here I am now standing on Legendary King's Station to pick my sisters who are coming back for Christmas holidays.
