"Miss Sutton… it must be nice to use your maternal family name all the time." These were Mrs. Sealey's first words when Gabi walked inside the private tea room that the Sealey Family booked in advance.
"I should ask myself about that after I sent the article to the press." Gabi opened her phone. However, before she could do anything, she heard Mr. Sealey's voice.
"Miss Sutton, my wife is only joking. Please don't take it seriously."
"I don't know about that, Mr. Sealey. I am a bit irritated. After all, I almost got rap*d by some random man."
"You— "
"Apologize." Mr. Sealey said in a low voice. "Now."
"But — " Mrs. Sealey's face reddened. "I'm sorry Gabi. I didn't mean to say that."
Gabi snorted in response. If she was the same as Gabi in the past, she would have fallen for this act. It was the classic bad cop, good cop. And it was as fake as the gold-plated chair that they were sitting on.
