บท 31: Elemental
When we approached the hospital I felt my body warming up again. Rex held me closer.
"Any unmated male is going to be able to smell you for miles." He says dryly.
*No one but doctors and families of patients come to the hospital.* Rex orders.
"I can hear you!" I squeal and we walk faster, entering the hospital doors briskly.
"Our packs are combined and we've claimed each other." He shrugs at the logic.
Heat hits me so intensely my legs give way and Rex picks me up.
Talking to the nurse at the desk Rex says, "Empty room. Away from others. Now!"
"Yes Alpha!" she squeaks and leads us down a quiet hallway to an empty room.
We heal quickly and usually don't need doctors but in the event we do, we're prepared.
Rex sets me down on the bed. He checks to make sure the locks are on so we don't roll away.
"Take your clothes off." Rex says with effort, removing his own.
I quickly pull my dress over my head and take off my flats and underwear. The dress I wore didn't require a bra.
"Lay down." He orders again and I comply feeling light headed. "I'm going to do this quickly which means you need to finish as soon as you can."
"Okay." I murmur softly.
"You're exhausted but we need to break this fever if you're going to be able to see your sister's pups."
I nod. He's so level headed.
With his hands on my knees he spreads my legs. His face is between my thighs and I gasp, grabbing fistfuls of his hair. I try to stifle my moan with my hand but it doesn't help much.
He swirls his tongue around my entrance and then shoves a finger inside. Then he's sucking on me and biting gently. The other hand massages me while as he adds a second finger. They move back and forth leisurely as his outer attack is fast paced. I arch my back and when my name is whispered from his lips, I finish in his mouth.
He climbs on top of me and shoves his way inside. I thrust upward to meet him and we're moving together. Up and down, faster and faster. I dig my nails into his back and he growls in content. I can feel him shaking. As he's spilling into me, I kiss his lips roughly. He moans into them as I bite his lip.
We pull apart quickly.
*Regina!* Caelum screams in our heads and we quickly get dressed.
We throw on our clothes hurriedly and run down the hall hand in hand. Sliding into Stella's room, we see her hair matted to her face. Blood is all over and two screaming babies are being cleaned.
"Took you...long enough...still...in heat?" She cracks a smile.
I glare at her and she wipes her forehead with the back of her hand. The nurse hands one baby to Caelum and one baby to Stella. They are already asleep.
"What are they?" I ask Stella, she shrugs.
I turn to Caelum, "We've got a boy and a girl."
"You didn't find out ahead of time?" I'd never thought to ask. I've been so busy with Alpha duties, supporting our new land, home, and meeting my new pack members. Plus training, every single day.
"Nah, what does it matter as long as they're healthy." Caelum smiles down at the one he's holding.
"What're you going to name them?" Rex chimes in.
"Caleo and Pluvia." Stella smiles at the ones she's holding, her eyes heavy.
The nurses come back and take the babies away.
"He's fire and she's water." Rex muses.
"Precisely." Caelum smiles.
"Your turn to have pups, sis." Stella jokes, her eyes already shut.
"You should rest, we should go." I smile at Caelum and take Rex's hand. "I love you little sis."
I drag Rex to the bedside so I can give Stella a kiss on her forehead. I nod to Caelum and we leave.
"Ten days." Rex says as we're out of the hospital.
"Until what?" I eye him suspiciously.
"We find out if you're pregnant."
"What?!" I practically shout, letting go of his hand.
He turns to look at me. "Yeah, apparently you only get pregnant during heat and it takes 10 days to find out."
"Great." I mumble and then Praesul takes over.
We phase, shredding our clothes, and run into the forest. Part of our new land has a beautiful river that runs through it. I stop along the banks and howl at the sky. The sun is just cresting the horizon. Purple, pink, orange, and yellow paint the sky like a canvas. I can still see the full moon though.
I phase back into human form, "Goddess, I'm warning you! I better NOT be pregnant! Not right now."
"Relax, you're not." The voice makes me jump. I look around but no one is there. "Down here."
I look into the water and the reflection of the moon has a face on it. Her face.
"Will Rex and I..." I begin but she gives me a stern look. "Right, I need to focus on finding the elements."
She nodded in approval. "Congratulations on your new elemental."
I look at her in surprise. "The twins?"
"No." She looks at me again with narrowed eyes.
"Someone from Rex's pack?"
"Correct."
"How can I tell an elemental?" I ask.
"Their ability to manipulate the element. Upon meeting them, you will know."
"So I haven't met them yet." I speak aloud. "How early can you tell if someone is an elemental?"
"Normally, when they phase for the first time."
"So like 8?" I say aloud but then shake my head. "I just thought the twins might be..."
"They might be." She says unwavering. "Only time will tell."
"Why did you tell Ignis about us?" I say suddenly angered by his pain.
"He was going to cause a ripple in the future. I had to make sure he'd be alive long enough to be your mate."
My gut knotted. Did he try to take his life?
"I want Rex to be my mate." I say defiantly.
"He is."
"My forever mate." I clarify.
"Oh dear. You haven't heard Niveus' new prophesy?"
My eyes widen and my mouth is open slightly.
"I'll take that as a no. You'd better go ask her. It's about you. Again." She vanished and I turn to leave. In the woods I hear a rustle.
Rex emerges in his wolf form. His eyes are unreadable. I transform into my wolf form and head straight for the pack house. We're neck in neck but Rex cuts me off. I run full speed into him. We both roll and topple in some grass. I feel him start to shift so I shift back as well. He's on top of me naked.
"While normally this would be enticing," he pauses, his member erect, clearly contradicting his statement, "we need to talk."
I look up at him. "About what?"
"Who were you talking to?"
Shit...what did he hear? "The moon goddess."
We stare at each other in silence.
