Gyles
I have been pacing back and forth, uncontrollably. I am worried sick even though I haven't heard anything from him. It has been an hour. A whole hour without a word from him and he said he was going to call immediately he settled in. That just means he hasn't settled in.
What could be keeping him?
"You have to sit down,'' Rex urges me calmly.
He is trying to act calm but I can tell he is not. There is nothing tough about Rex. Out of the three of us, he is an open book.
I can tell how he is feeling just by looking at him and right now, he looks like he is about to break. Rex puts his hand on my shoulder and guides me into the armchair in the room. I sit down on it and look up to him.
"He hasn't called. He said he was going to call when he got settled. Do you think something has happened?''
I am rambling.
I am scared shitless.
"He is fine."
I nod even though I am not so sure.
