บท 469: Taste you

I go back into the living room and Lenny looks up from his glass. His eyes brighten as I walk over to him.

"He hates me,'' he points out.

I shake my head "He hates everyone,'' I tell him because Darrien is not a people person. He never has and he never will. I know that about him and he knows it about himself.

"He doesn't hate you,'' he raises a brow as he takes a sip from his glass "aren't you going to drink with me too?'' he asks.

I shake my head "I am fine.''

"come on, it is not fair if I am the only one drinking. I mean, what is the harm?'' he asks me with a smile on his face. There is something about Lenny that I can't pinpoint. The way he talks, the way he looks at me, makes me feel like he genuinely is an honest person. Makes me feel like I can trust him.

"I have never had alcohol before,'' I confess.

He opens his eyes wide "How old are you?''

"Seventeen.''

"In werewolf years?"

I nod.
