Varity's mind felt startled when I reached for her, but she quickly sobered when I told her what I needed.

Lips curving into a ferocious grin, she tore open the veil to the stronghold, the pull of her Enforcer magic skimming around the edges. "Just promise me you'll let me in on the action when you strip this wretched girl dry."
