Jayla rolled his eyes. "For a prince who always travels, you sure get bored a lot." She drank her water. I smiled as I saw Alaric make a face. We'll reach by nighttime, King Alaric." She answered still.
Medea stood by a nearby tree, her staff leaning against her shoulder as she twirled a strand of her dark hair around her finger. Her expression was unusually light, a faint smile playing at the corners of her lips.
"You know," she said, breaking the silence, "I could just teleport us all to Felidae. Save us the trouble of trudging through the forest like a group of misplaced pilgrims."
Jayla arched a brow, her hands resting on her hips. "And you're just now bringing this up?" she asked, her tone dripping with exasperation.
