Shadow thought that it will be okay between him and Ava even though he made sure to make her feel how much he loves her.

However, even with his efforts, sometimes the demoness could not help but be paranoid about what's happening to him because he works in the army with Morgana. 

Shadow sighed as he walked alongside Umbra, his eyebrows furrowing as he wondered why Shadow sighed out of the blue when they are already preparing for war against the angels. 

"What's wrong?" he asked, Shadow continuing to walk ahead after getting the orders from their king to start with the infiltration. "Is something bothering you?"

"Nothing."

"Eh?" Umbra raised a brow at him, "Doesn't seem nothing to me."

With Umbra being one of his trusted friends, Shadow stopped in his tracks as he turned to face Umbra, his lips in a tight line as he wondered if he could tell him how he felt since he rarely opened up to him when it comes to his relationship.
