In just a blink of an eye, classes had already started. It was Monday and it would mean that Angeal, Frey, and Arvid, are to attend their morning classes already.
It was 6:30 in the morning when Angeal woke up, feeling slightly groggy. Their first class would start at around 8:30. The girl yawned, stretched, then stared blankly at the window.
'Ah... back to school, here we go,' she thought positively then she smiled as she looked at the only picture of her mother given to her by old man Gladios.
The girl got the picture from her side table then looked at it. Her mother was extremely beautiful. She had black hair and brown eyes, making Angeal feel thankful that she inherited her mother's beauty. Despite having a different color for both her eyes and her hair, Angeal looked like her mother.
The human girl kissed the picture then thought to herself for a while, as if talking telepathically to her mother's picture.
'I will do my best today, mom. Watch over me from where you are.'
With that, she gave the picture of her mom a kiss then set it at the side, feeling motivated. She then went inside her own personal bathroom then bathed, in preparation for their first day of classes.
After 10 minutes, she left the bathroom wearing her white towel that covered her body. Her blonde hair was dripping wet, so she got a spare towel from the bathroom door, and used it to wrap around her hair.
She opened her wardrobe, which revealed her clothes. When it comes to dressing up, Angeal would rather choose her clothes simply. She pondered for a while as she looked at her clothes then decided that she wore a plain light blue hoodie, then black skinny jeans. For her shoes, she pulled her brown Timberlands at the side then proceeded to do her morning routine.
Removing her towel, she wore her underwear first then proceeded to put on lotion on her body. Afterwards, she wore her choice of clothes for the day, sat in front of her vanity mirror, then used the blower to dry her hair.
"Angeal!"
When the human girl heard a familiar voice, she looked in her mirror to see Gwen magically appear in her room.
To others, this would surprise them to death but to her, she already grew accustomed to Gwen's sudden appearance.
Angeal cocked her head as she was blow drying her hair, asking why she came to visit her.
"You're coming home this afternoon with Arvid, right," the immortal asked and Angeal nodded, her hair almost dry. "Okay! On your way home, buy groceries with Arvid. Here is the list," she instructed her then Angeal turned off her blower at the side, got the list, then put it inside her pocket.
Gwen then smiled, as she came over to tie Angeal's hair in a ponytail. The human girl smiled as she appreciated Gwen helping her with her hair. The immortal knew Angeal very well that she hated dealing with her hair in the morning.
"There. It's all good," she said and Angeal gave her a thumbs up as she stood up to wear her shoes at the side. "Let's go. Breakfast has been served already," she added and as soon as Angeal finished tying up her shoelaces, she walked with Gwen going to the dining room.
The moment they arrived, Angeal skipped happily to her grandfather as she gave him a hug and a kiss on the cheek. This made the old man chuckle as he pinched her cheek slightly.
"Well good morning, my Angeal," he greeted and the girl got the plate of pancakes from his hands then served it on the table.
A few moments later, Arvid came in the room, feeling enthusiastic as Angeal.
He was wearing a black hoodie and navy blue jeans then wore black rubber shoes. He may look simple, but the hoodie emphasized the built of his body.
Angeal shot him an appreciative look as a thought crossed her mind.
'He will be popular, I bet!'
"Good morning, guys," Arvid greeted them as he strode inside the dining room. Behind him was Edwin and he gave his son a smack on the head.
"You better focus on your classes, too, if you requested this from me. At the same time, you have to focus on your training, too," he reminded his son then Arvid rolled his eyes at him.
"Yeah, yeah," the young immortal said as he scoffed then he sat on the chair.
Martha giggled as she and Gwen put on the other food for breakfast such as bacon and eggs. Of course, coffee was also present on the table since old man Gladios, Edwin, Martha, and Ivar enjoyed them well. As for the others, they would prefer hot cocoa than drink coffee.
All of them sat on the table then started eating breakfast. A few minutes later, Ivar came then sat across Gwen. They looked at each other quickly, as if giving each other a secret look that meant something.
"Were you alright last night, Gwen," Martha asked and Gwen nodded as she ate one spoonful of bacon. "You looked haggard with your hair disheveled and your face was red flushed when I visited you in your room. I thought you were sick for a moment."
"Pfft!"
When Martha made that remark, Gwen almost choked on the bacon she chewed.
Edwin raised a brow at her as Martha gave her a glass of water at the side. Gwen drank it quickly, calming herself down. Ivar on the other hand, pretended like nothing happened as he took a sip from his black coffee.
'Your actions are obvious, Gwen. Luckily, Martha couldn't pick up.'
"Oh, what's wrong with you," Martha asked worriedly as she patted the back of her daughter. "You've been out of it lately since our master—"
"Oh! Look at the time! Angeal and Arvid have to go to school! Are you guys almost done eating," Gwen interrupted, leading her mom away from her curiosity.
Martha looked at the clock on the wall then looked at the two who were eating breakfast.
"Your first class starts at 8, right? Well, finish breakfast quickly then. You are to commute to class," the head housekeeper reminded the two, making Gwen internally sigh in relief when her mother's attention shifted to them.
As they conversed and ate breakfast together, Angeal looked at her schedule on her phone then showed it to Arvid. The young immortal grinned when their first class for the day was World Literature, a class he would be attending every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with Angeal and Frey.
"Alright then," Arvid said as he stood up after finishing his glass of water. "Time for me and Angeal to head off," he added, bidding their farewell to them. Angeal stood up as well as she waved her hand goodbye.
The old man nodded as he gave them both a smile. "Enjoy your first day of classes. This is just the start, but later, it gets difficult," Gladios advised then the two nodded as they left.
The experienced immortals and the old man were the only ones left in the kitchen enjoying their breakfast. Edwin chuckled as he shook his head then spoke.
"I admire their energy and enthusiasm. It makes me envy them for being spirited at a young age," he commented and the others agreed as well as they ate their breakfast and conversed with each other, giving their Monday morning a nice start.
