บท 193: Death's Song

I feel as if time slows as I keep my eyes closed. I try to envision Thane as Silas moves closer. When I slowly open my eyes, I see Silas looking down at me as if he were drunk. His eyes were glossed over and he seems to be lost in his own twisted fantasies. 

I slowly lift my right hand, moving it up to where his soul would be. Everything is silent as he slowly lowers himself as if he wants to kiss me. I don't pull away or even try to stop him. My hand finally comes to a stop as I slowly start gathering my power. 

When his lips are about to touch mine, the sound of glass shattering breaks the spell! Silas and I jerk away from each other but when he realizes that I'm just as confused, he looks around with anger. 

Suddenly, I hear him! "Get away from her..." Thane growls out in a low voice. Because Silas is in the way, I can't see him but that doesn't matter. He's back! My eyes flutter shut as fresh tears begin to fall once again.
