They wake up early the next morning, and start packing their things into satchels. Several changes of winter robes and fur-lined cloaks, as well as thicker boots in case they have to thread through snow, now that the weather has become colder.
Since Lan Tian will be flying them towards their destinations, it falls on Wu Yun to carry everything.
He waddles out of the room like an overburdened donkey, his legs almost giving out under the combined weight of all the belonging they've managed to amass.
"Owning things is too troublesome. Life was easier when I was just a simple fox without anything," he says, his words breathless, when he can finally sit on the ground of the landing platform, and give his back a break.
Unbeknownst to him, Lan Tian was walking behind him and lifting most of the weight of the bulky satchels on his arms. He didn't say anything because Wu Yun's complaints amuse him.
If Lan Tian is saying the truth, how did Wan Mi find out about their journey? mmmmmmm....interesting.
And what's up with the snow covered village with no soul in sight?
Speaking of snow, I really hope I can see some snow this winter, but I'm probably going to be disappointed as I've been for every winter the past 10 years T-T
At least it's raining today.
Ah I love the cold, writing this chapter made me feel all cozy *-*
