Before Li Xue could ask more, her phone beeped with a text, and excusing herself for a bit, she took her phone out to check. 

While at the front, Su Fai's expression changed drastically. With his look, it felt like a protected secret that shouldn't have come out to others was suddenly discovered. For a moment he felt his nerves going numb. 

But still composing himself back in his usual attitude, he asked, trying his best to be calm. He felt like it was his luck that Li Xue couldn't notice his face losing its confidence like that. 

"About me and Lin Xinyi? What could there be between us?" He said half breaking in a smile that seemed nonchalant but lacked the honesty. 

Li Xue looked up at him and noticed it well. Her brows got raised slightly but she didn't make it too evident. "When did I say that there is something between you two?" She tugged her brows in perplexion. 

And seeing her like that the man was wordless. "…"
