บท 81: We’ll be leaving now

The suddenly somber mood that struck Zhang Wang did not go unnoticed by Yu Yanlin.

The Immortal of a Thousand Blossoms had a lot fewer words to share and even the Master of the Strays seemed to be especially sensitive about the topic, neither poking nor prodding with words like he usually does.

Zhang Wang set his chopsticks down when he was done. With a heavy sigh, he looked up and said, "Thanks."

Sikong Ren nodded tersely. "Should we depart now?"

"Yeah, there's no point in putting it off. After all, today's the day, isn't it? Thanks for reminding me."

"Yeah."

The three of them stood and Yu Yanlin wondered if he should broach the topic, after all, it seemed like something that was shared between Zhang Wang and Sikong Ren. Yu Yanlin had no place or say in the matter.

In fact, he wondered if it was better to leave the two to their own devices, as much as the demon king did not particularly feel inclined to do so.
