[AH, HE'S gone.]

Winchell felt a numbing pain after Solaris drew his last breath.

It was actually a miracle that he got a few minutes to talk to his son after his heart and Core got crushed to the point that even he could tell that it was impossible to fix.

Of course, he didn't entertain the fact that Solaris' Core couldn't be fixed anymore.

However, him clinging to hope didn't change the outcome.

Solaris was already gone.

"This isn't right," Winchell whispered, his voice full of agony, as he embraced his son. "No parent should experience burying their own child."

But he had to.

Winchell promised Solaris that he would take a piece of his soul and bring it to Solenn.

Hence, to do that, he had to burn his son's body to ashes.

Since his flame was the hottest flame in the world, Solaris' body turned to ashes almost instantly.
