บท 382: Heated Confrontation

To be fair, Noel Sherwood could tell that he could restrain the White Snake.

But there was something about the White Snake's aura that made his skin crawl.

Yumi, the Black Serpent's mother and Spirit Guardian, was in her human form. But that body was nothing but a temporary shell.

Hence, it would be easy to kill the White Snake.

However…

[My instincts are telling me to stay away from her.]

"Captain Denver, don't attack the White Snake," Luna said in a serious and slightly nervous tone. "There's something strange with her."

Oh.

He was glad that he wasn't the only one who felt that way.

"Then I'll follow your advice, Miss Luna," Noel said, raising his arms. "For now, I'll make a barrier since the White Snake is giving me the creeps."

"Good thinking, Captain."

And it really was a good idea.
