As Kany pulled me away from Erana, our combined attention was turned towards the direction Tael was looking towards. It seems as if people have begun to approach this alley.

I took a quick final glance at Erana before I stepped towards Tael. Our argument from later can continue some other time. As for now, we need to address our current issue.

Tael pressed himself against the wall as he stared forward. "Kenji, I counted three. I haven't seen them for a bit though."

I looked where Tael indicated. It's true that I don't see anyone there currently.

"Did they look like they noticed us?"

Tael quickly nodded.

"Well… That means that they went to get reinforcements." I whispered as I turned towards the other way down the alley.

Just as I suspected, I saw a single man that was poking his head slightly out from behind the brick wall. How I could see him so well from such a distance was beyond me, but I still knew he was there.
