Anna's former failed marriage put a great blow on Anna's pride and heart.

Why would the proud and arrogant Anna choose a man like Patrick? Patrick might come from a well-off family, had three children, and also had a wife. But it was nothing compared to the caliber of her former husband.

There was only one answer. 

Anna was kicked out of her marriage. It was never released in public why Anna and her ex-husband divorced, but for her to choose Patrick out of all the men out there must mean that she did not have much of a choice.

Since Patrick loved her so much, there would be less risks if she decided to stick with him. It was also to cover her broken image and satisfy her damaged ego.

When Patrick became the heir in line, Anna thought that she could ride on Patrick's boat and stand in the upper society again.

Now that Patrick had become the CEO, Anna would make sure that she would get the CEO's wife position from Lianne.
