บท 58: Chapter 56: Breaking the News to Misty P.1

Ark and Jenny were currently on their way over to the Pokemon Center.

Despite having time to process, Ark was still confused as to why this was happening. He knew that Jenny wanted him to speak to Misty, but he was baffled as to why she was coming along.

"So... why are you coming with me?"

Ark asked, refusing to make guesses in case it back fires on him.

"You said this Misty is fiery right? Wouldn't it be better having me there as well to placate her a bit. Besides, I want to see how you handle the situation, especially if you're going to get others in the future"

Ark crossed his arms and nodded deeply. Everything Jenny said was true and he was deeply pleased that Jenny had put so much thought into watching his interactions with other girls, it showed how much Jenny was thinking about her future with him.

"That makes sense, thanks for coming then. Although she may be fiery, she at least listens... well if she wants to"

With his mind clear, Ark strolled approached the Pokemon Center, ready to receive whatever reaction Misty may have.

It didn't take long for Ark and Jenny to make it to the Pokemon Center. Taking a quiet breath, Ark entered the building with Jenny following behind him.

As they walked past the front desk, Nurse Joy went to call out to the duo before quickly retracting her hand. Her instincts were alarming her not to get involved right now, for her sake.

"She should be in her room, I think it is best if we have the conversation in her room. At least that way she can kick me out rather than have to flee, hopefully she won't get to that point though"

Although Ark said all of this, he intended to not let it get to that point. While he knew Misty was fiery, he also knew the deep emphasis she put on her feelings. Ark steeled himself for what was to come.

Meanwhile, Jenny only nodded in acceptance to Arks words. She remained silent on the topic and left Ark to his own devices, despite saying that she wanted to be there, she did no intend to interfere unless drastic measures were needed.

Without further conversation, Ark led the way to Mistys room, his fists tightened and his expression serious.

Eventually, Ark found himself outside of Mistys room.Looking over his shoulder, he confirmed Jennys presence with a nod. Knocking on the door, Ark stepped back slightly and adjusted his posture slightly.

Within seconds, Ark sensed movement from within the room. Faint sounds of someone coming to the door broke the silence hanging over the duo. as the door opened, the iconic orange hair made its presence known followed by a small face as Misty poked her head out from the door. Her body still hidden behind the door.

"Hey Misty, can we talk?"

Although perplexed by Mistys strange form of answering the door, Ark continued on without bringing it up.

A rosy hue touched Mistys cheeks as a shy smile appeared on Mistys face.

"Sure, but give me a couple of minutes to get prepared"

Misty wasted no time before gently shutting the door.

Ark looked back at Jenny, who was also sporting a curious expression.

"My guess is shes not dressed appropriately for visitors"

Ark mumbled quietly to Jenny, trying his best to not be heard by the person behind the door. A teasing smile appeared on Jennys face.

"Hmm are you imagining such a thing? Even though you're about to talk about something so serious? It seems that someones mind truly cannot leave the gutter"

Sensing her teasing, Ark felt relieved to see that despite her prior serious attitude, there was very little negative feelings being shown by Jenny. Thus, he accepted her teasing with a smile.

"Of course, the moment it leaves the gutter, is the moment I will lose my libido. I am sure that neither of us will want that, would we?"

Jennys eyes widened slightly before she chuckled slightly and remained silent, refusing to answer.

Moments later, the sound of a door opening interrupted the quiet couple. Misty watched the two of them as she opened the door, her eyes narrow as she sensed the sweet atmosphere between the two. The moment she felt this, her instincts screamed that this situation was not a nice one.

"Come in, I take it she is with you?"

Mistys eyes stared at the stunning Jenny. Had Misty not known who she was, Misty may have become entranced by the sheer aura of authority and maturity that Jenny radiated.

"Yep, can we do introductions once we are inside? I am afraid if we take too long, we will end up blocking the hallway"

Misty opened the door wide and allowed the duo to go in. Once in, she closed the door and went to prepare drinks for everyone. Ark and Jenny sat down on the chairs, waiting for Misty to be ready.

"I don't believe we have met before, my name is Misty and I am from Cerulean City"

Misty politely introduced herself as she served tea to Ark and Jenny. Following suit, Jenny introduced herself.

"It's nice to meet you, I am Jenny Williams. I am the Chief Officer of Pewter City, so if you ever need help, don't be afraid to contact me."

Jenny smiled politely, her words contained a mature comforting that made you feel as though the situation was completely under control.

Misty nodded at Jennys words, desperately trying to hide her confusion as to why Ark would be so close to a police officer. At first, she thought that Jenny may be a family friend of some sort since they were so close, however now that she was seeing them so close, it was evident that their relationship was much deeper.

"I have to ask, what sort of relationship does Ark have with you officer Jenny?"

Her blunt attitude made Ark smile wryly. Instead of Jenny, Ark answered.

"That is the reason for our visit today Misty. I have a few things to tell you. Don't worry, I will explain everything to you."

Reluctantly nodding, Misty sat down opposite Ark and waited for him to continue.

Thinking for a short while, Ark decided that being direct was better for Misty. Should he try to beat around the bush and ease in the subject, Misty may misunderstand or misinterpret something.

"Misty, I am already in a romantic relationship with Jenny. I also plan to have multiple other relationships."

Jenny winced slightly at the blunt wording coming from Ark. She badly wanted to interject and explain for Ark, however she held her tongue and put faith in Arks approach. She knew he had chosen to be blunt for a reason, she just hoped it was a good enough reason.

"Hold on? What are you saying Ark?"

Misty put down her cup as gently as she could, her arms shaking slightly and her face slowly paling.

"Do you mean to say that I am just another conquest or something like that?"

Ark was surprised at how calm Misty was acting, he had expected her to start storming about or shouting. Instead, she had chosen to ask Ark, although her voice was quivering drastically.

"I don't mean it like that, you see, one of my dreams is to have a huge family, with many wives. It is a dream that is borderline insane, but it is one that I will not give up on. My feelings for you and Jenny are true and they are feelings I cherish, I have never seen you as a conquest and I wholly intend to take responsibility and be by your side in the future to come. The only difference is that our family will be huge and that there will be others."

Ark spoke to Misty in a soft and direct voice. His words never faltered or drifted from the point. His eyes pinned Misty to the spot as her eyes swam around the room desperately. Ark could feel her desire to run boiling inside of her.
