บท 100: an actual rest day

The day after, a female friend of hers texted her an invitation to go watch a basketball tournament held near the town plaza. 

"Mei Xing, come and join me in showing support. My boyfriend becomes a reserve member of the town's basketball team and there's a competition going on." Mu Chunhua linked arms with Zhang Mei Xing. 

An Qi, her other friend, a pretty but short girl, looked at her. "Mei Xing. How are you feeling now? We heard you fell sick after you returned from our last outing." 

Mu Chunhua widened her eyes and exclaimed, "You fell sick? Why didn't I know? I would have visited you!"

"You're too busy with your love affair, that's why," replied An Qi on Zhang Mei Xing's behalf, one edge of her lips rising. 

Zhang Mei Xing waved a hand and said, "It's okay. I'm fine now. When did Li Qiang become a member of the town-sponsored team?"
