Laying under a car I wait patiently breathing as quietly as I can. *shhh *shhh *shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh
Of all the things to find. Of all the times to pass by. Why now? Why a fucking hoard?...
Going back 2 hours. After preping everything I need for my trip I set of towards the station. I move slowly and quietly. Watching all around me but it seems luck was on my side today. I made it to the gas station with no issues and didn't see a single zombie. Bringing the wagon inside I had the door with my wrench and begin stacking the boxes on my wagon. I load it up to the point the boxes are stacked as tall as I am. Grabbing some bungee cords and rope I tie it down and after a few stress tests making sure its secure I head out the front door. Man it feels so nice when luck is on my side. I begin my trip home taking the same precautions as always. As I'm walking I here a loud scraping noise in the distance. Slowing down I try to look ahead but don't see anything. My stomach tightens as I climb on a car and look ahead. There. Shuffling in my direction is a hoard of at least 40 zombies..... Jumping down I move the wagon off the road and slide my backpack beside it. I quickly scramble beneath a car and wait.... My heart is beating like a drum... . *shhh *shhh *shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh. *shhh *shhh *shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh. *shhh *shhh *shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh. *shhh *shhh *shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh*shhh *shhh Why did they have to come now? Why a damn hoard? Why arent they moving on?.... I look around and see feet all around me. They stopped moving. Why did they stop moving? My heart is beating hard and fast and I dont know what to do.... All I can do is wait.*BUMBUM hopefully they move on. I reach down and grab ahold of the gun just in case i need it... What am I gonna do? Its a six shooter. I doubt they'll be nice enough to let me reload not to mention the extra bullets are in my backpack 15 feet away.... I let go of the gun. it's useless right now.... I wait here waiting for them to find me or move on. I'm breathing as quietly as I can but my damn heart keeps getting louder and louder.*BUMBUM Please. Please just leave. *BUMBUM Move on. I don't want to die. *BUMBUM I don't want to be food..... I see them. A few people I used to see every day. Their eyes milky white, mouths hung open, skin pale and clothes covered in blood.... Several of them are in terrible condition. Chunks missing out of their arms and legs. I see a woman in a bra, gut splayed out dragging her entrails on the ground. I see the horror of death all around me. *BUMBUM And my heart just keeps beating... They used to be friends and neighbors. *BUMBUM Now. Now they are just monsters..... I can only wait. but each second feels like an eternity. I can only wait watching as they stand lifelessly. I lay here and watch. I see each of them. How their bodies are mangled. *BUMBUM. Please. Just. Fucking. Leave. After laying here for what seems like years at this point I notice its getting darker. The sun is beginning to set and I'm stuck outside under a car.*BUMBUM Will I even make it til morning? Is this how I die? The light begins to fade and I begin to loose my sight to the pitch black darkness. I still see their outlines. but not their features. That could at least be called a blessing. My heart begins to calm as I think about what I'm going to do. How I'm going to get out of this. I don't have the faintest idea. I can't wait here forever. If they dont move by morning I will just make a run for it. Thats the best thing I can do. Before I run out of strength from being here to long. I can only wait and hope for now. The night is long and I'm tired but I don't dare close my eyes. What if I roll over? What if I snore? I'll never wake up from that sleep. I can only wait. The night drags on slowly. I consider every option I have. I make a plan and hope for the best. Because come dawn. Come dawn I have to risk it. I have to do my best and hope it works out. I have to survive.
