บท 334: EPISODE 4: A New Goal!*
The city of joy, Jubilife City. Jubilife City is a city in the Sinnoh region. The entire city is built on land carved out of a mountain by the residents of the neighboring Oreburgh City. Jubilife is the most modernized city in the region, and according to statistics, the largest city in Sinnoh.
The place is filled with large screens where different advertisements are shown. There are a lot of tall towers, large and bulky buildings, a perfect commercial area with technologies filled to the brim. It houses different companies, global stations, and trading centers for trainers.
The city is always known to be crowded with families. Sometimes, trainers flock to the area to attend a contest or a beauty pageant. They are known as the city of joy, and what better way to bring joy to the people but through entertainment? Cinemas in every block, malls in every corner, this is the perfect place to be with your family.
Every year, they host an annual competition in which they give free Poketch, a type of watch if the trainer or any civilian at all gets to answer the right question from the clowns dressed in yellow with their funny-looking makeup.
In this city, Jenny rented another apartment in hopes of completing her new goals. No longer an officer, she is more of a hunter who wants to find out more about her family and of course, beat me like meat. Her anger just strengthens by the second every time she remembered the moment I unintentionally killed her sister. It was more of a misinterpretation.
It made me realize Courtney's last word when she decided to ruin my life by causing a commotion between me and Jenny, my soon to be worse arch-enemy who is determined as ever to kick me off the face of the Earth.
Her apartment? It seemed more of a tower covered with pristine glass. Her room is at the very top floor wherein she could see the city horizons and the wonderful sunset tonight. She entered the room somewhere around one in the afternoon, with a bag of newly bought clothes.
The first thing she did was to tear apart her officer outfit. It was some sort of ritual, telling her that it was time for a new and better beginning. By ripping her outfit, she had forgotten about the fundamentals of our orphanage in which it states that taking care of things is a must.
Like me, she had changed and didn't even dare to return to the orphanage anymore like me. We had forgotten what was left behind and started to move on towards accomplishing our goals. She threw her officer outfit in the trash bin, alongside her badges and other "officer equipment."
She was also officially declared as a resigned officer by Detective Looker who worked all night just to prepare her papers. Deep down, Detective Looker knows something wrong is happening with Jenny and despite all his efforts to confront Jenny through a phone, she won't pick up. After getting annoyed, she deleted the detective's number on her phone, making Looker more concerned.
Her new outfit, a new self. She now wears tight black pants and black shirt, making her seem more like a spy with golden lines running across to add a pinch of design. Her shoes are no more, replaced with black boots. Those black boots are not like any other. Spikes can emerge out of it, a good tactic if she wants to kill me straight off with a kick.
Her gloves of black, can also cause spikes to emerge. Another good tactic if she wants to finish the match with a single punch. She also has a helmet, that enables night and x-ray vision. She's definitely not taking any chances, making sure my moves won't outsmart nor outmatch her's. Wear it all together, she looks like a rogue biker.
She also changed her motorcycle to a black fast paced one. Wheels are made out to the finest rubber, the sound produced is as those of a galloping stallion. Perhaps not even a fast Scyther can outsmart the speed of Jenny's new motorcycle, bringing Oliver's Scyther to a challenge. It has that futuristic appeal.
Done trying her attire, she proceeded with designing her apartment. She bought a map of the whole region of Sinnoh in Jubilife city. For now, not knowing my location yet, her first target will be finding more about her father.
"Mother always told me father had some aides here." she spoke to herself softly, encircling large cities found in the map, possible locations of the people she will be looking for.
"My case is not yet solved, my enemy is still out there. I won't rest until I find her, until I avenge my sister." she mumbled to herself, letting her anger control her again.
Jenny, she seemed so different. She has changed drastically from an energetic woman, turning into a depressed officer and now, a rogue. The future between me and her has suddenly changed its course. Who knows when and how we'll meet again and what will happen if we do.
