Our bodies were glued to the ground and the people behind us encouraged us to stand and fight back. They cheered, inspired, and even gave us a boost of self-esteem but despite all of this, Deoxys was far too powerful for us to withstand. What's worse, it persistently sent the arena upwards and if this was to continue, we would soon reach space.
Having no hope at all, the people were angered at the unexpected visitor from space. From their chairs, they threw out their Pokemon and commanded it to attack Deoxys. The people united and aim for the chest, even the other hundred trainers who joined the Pokemon League were there to stand up for their champion.
"We may think highly of ourselves but when we're together, we're unstoppable!" yelled one of the trainers.
"Raticate, use Fire Fang!"
"Breloom, Leaf Storm!"
"Come and get it, use tackle, Persian!"
"Aim for the chest, Snorlax!"
"The skies are safe with me, now use Whirl Wind, Pidgeot!"
Trainers, their numbers vast, attacked Deoxys with their Pokemon. It was able to distract Deoxys, thus releasing us from the ground. Without their help, we would forever remain glued to the ground. The fight has just begun and next, lasers from its eyes targeted our Pokemon.
"Humans are weak!" yelled, the virus. Its eyes that shot out lasers were able to knock out Pokemon in one blow. I looked to the crystal, it seemed to be glitching. Just a little more to defeat Deoxys's brain and end the virus for good.
From the clouds above us, another woman joined the fight. I saw her riding her Altaria and she was aggressively mad at me. I could see it by the way she stares at not only to Deoxys but to me as well. Zinnia finally knew the truth and after this match, she's definitely going to scold me.
Altaria used Dragon Rage and it targeted the chest. It was able to gather Deoxys's attention, triggering it gravely. The other trainers continued to fight and the highly intelligent Deoxys didn't seem so intelligent but rather confused on who to attack.
"We may be weak Deoxys, but together, united, our species are strong. Rayquaza, Draco Meteor!" finally weakened, it was time to make the last move. Rayquaza, under my command, attacked Deoxys for one final time. It punctured the brain, making Deoxys explode.
We are aware that Deoxys can regenerate its body, that is if, the brain functions properly. Without the brain, it's basically dead. The explosion was so immense that we needed to take cover. Behind the chairs, behind the pillars, as long as it is sturdy, we hid behind it.
After the explosion, we were all surprised. Deoxys withstood the attack despite all our efforts and not a single scratch was present on its skin. Triggered, it flew up to the skies and released the arena. Seeing the arena fall from above, Logan quickly asked Gallade and Gardevoir to use all their powers to safely return the arena to the ground. Surrounding Logan, were numerous reporters, turning their cameras to the skies.
The news spread everywhere throughout the region, and even Charlotte was able to see it. She got angry at me and told Xeryll to directly proceed to Ever Grande City. The people screamed, begging for help. It felt like we were riding an asteroid which is about to clash against our planet. We closed our eyes when suddenly it stopped moving. We can feel it shaking, but at least the drag of gravity was slowed down by Gardevoir and Gallade.
Below, they were perspiring heavily to control the movement of the arena. My poor Gardevoir, she's probably going to have cramps after this. It was like carrying the arena with your bare hands, that is what the both of them feel. If they were to release it because of their worn-out muscles, people would die, and Gardevoir wouldn't want that to happen to me.
While the arena slowly descended thanks to the two psychic Pokemon below us, I took this opportunity to ascend up to the skies with Rayquaza. I'm totally having a fever after this. This is my second time to ride Rayquaza under the harsh rainfall.
"Deoxys, let us keep this battle between the two of us, far from the public so no one else can be affected."
"As you wish."
A thunder crashed between the two of us, the symbol of the start of the match. Once again, Rayquaza mega evolved by using Dragon Ascent. Deoxys wrapped Rayquaza's neck with its tentacles, choking the dragon.
"Let's give Deoxys a ride!" I uttered sarcastically, petting Rayquaza's head as, like a worm, it wriggled around the sky shaking of Deoxys. We went through hoops of clouds and when Deoxys had enough, it released its grip from Rayquaza's neck. There were stars floating around its head which swiveled in confusion.
"Now, Draco Meteor unto the chest!" I commanded.
Because it was confused, Deoxys was unable to react immediately. Though after the attack, it was still looking powerful than ever. This battle will take longer than expected or so I thought. Thought it looked powerful, I finally saw numerous scratches on Deoxys's body.
It then sent a sphere of fire, much larger than the average size of an airplane towards Rayquaza. Similarly, Rayquaza countered back with the same move, sending a sphere of fire, the same size as Deoxys's. The moves collided, causing an outburst of wind, and once more, I bounced off Rayquaza's back.
I felt dizzy, my eyes were closed and my sanity was unconscious because of the previous move that shook everyone from below. It seemed like fireworks of red and orange hues only as if the sun exploded right in front of our faces. Though unconscious, I can sense the drag of the wind, pulling down to the ground.
Gardevoir saw my body descending to the ground and she was flustered. The arena is still a foot above and with my average speed, I'd be hitting the floor before the arena safely arrives. Gardevoir knows for a fact Gallade can't handle this type of situation alone.
I then felt like I landed on some fluffy cloud. My consciousness returned and when I opened my eyes, I found out I was floating on the wings of Zinnia's Altaria. "You're a liar. I will have my revenge after this, just you wait." Zinnia yelled as she safely returned me to the ground.
"Hehe." It was the only response I could think of.
Because of that explosion, I couldn't quite see what happened to both Rayquaza and Deoxys. It was as if they were zapped out of existence because of the two moves or perhaps they're somewhere hidden in the clouds, still fighting against each other.
I arrived down to the city safely, the very same moment when the whole arena was placed back to its location. Afterward, both Gallade and Gardevoir dropped to the ground, inhaling and exhaling deeply, resting their worn-out muscles. Not only were their powers drained, but as well as their energy.
From the ground, I can see Rayquaza's silhouette and Deoxys's shadow within the clouds. The thunders rolled by and it reflected the match happening in the skies. With the chomp of its teeth, Rayquaza was finally able to destroy Deoxys's brain, taking the life out of it for good. I was relieved to see that Deoxys was finally finished, nothing but a blob who fell from the skies.
As if falls, its body disintegrated because of the speed and thus the only thing that arrived at the bottom was its ashes. As for Zinnia, she grabbed Rayquaza's Rocket Ball from my hand and threw it on the floor. With her foot, she broke Rayquaza free by smashing the Rocket Ball.
The storm was quelled once more with Rayquaza's mighty roar as it stared down to the people of Ever Grande City. The people smiled back at their savior, waving their hands. Even the little children waved goodbye. One last time, Rayquaza roared and there, it returned to the Sky Pillar, the home where it truly belongs.
"Hey, I'm sorry for lying Zinnia." I grabbed her by the shoulder, and with a heavy heart, I apologized. Her response, however, was nothing but ignorance, removing my hands from her shoulders and flying off to the skies with her Altaria. I remained shrouded with guilt while watching Zinnia's furious face leave without even bidding the people goodbye.
At the end, the people rejoiced and cheered for one another after that successful fight, if it wasn't for Rayquaza. In the meanwhile, I thought of plans an excuses to tell headquarters about this. As for the champion and the elite four, they were interrogated upon by tens of thousands of reporters, all pointing their mics like a gun.
Of course, I didn't forget my tired Gardevoir, sending her back to her Pokeball for her to rest furthermore. It was at that moment when Logan confronted me again.
"So, are you leaving already?" he asked with a smile.
"Well, I kept my promise and I did fulfill it. There is nothing else for me to do but to return back to my headquarters. About Brendan's battle between the elite four and the champion?"
"Well, because of the commotion, they're going to move the date. Perhaps next week when the arena has been rebuilt."
"What?! Team Rocket attacked the MDSS?!" I heard Steven from the distance, shell-shocked after hearing the news from one of the reporters.
"Oopsies, I guess we got discovered. I have to return before the police find me or worse, the champion."
"Hehe, go ahead." chuckled, Logan.
At that moment, we shook each other's hands. I then rushed out of the scene and I could even here Steven calling out my name for me to explain things in front of the camera. Little does he know I'm already out.
I was about to contact Charlotte and give her another reasonable excuse while walking down the alleyway for her to pick me up but I was surprised she was at the end of the alley, waiting for me after all this time. Her intense glare, I knew she was going to scold me like a mother.
"Why you little rascal?! You attended the Pokemon League?!"
"Oops." I murmured, slowly stepping away from her.
"Come back here!" she yelled and chased me.
"I'm sorry, I can explain!" while running away from her, I begged for forgiveness.

"Welcome to the latest report of HNR, wherein we bring you the latest news:
Hours ago, a Pokemon which is believed to be from space attacked the city of Ever Grande, intervening the denouement of the Pokemon League..." and now here I am, inside my room, staring at the television while Charlotte walks around me, scolding me ferociously.
So far so good, the news never mentioned anything about Team Rocket except for our attack in the MDSS. Who cares, it's not like they're going to find our headquarters.
