Knowing about Violet's outstanding move against my tactic gives me a ruthless frown. How I dearly want to fight her, for real. She's definitely lurking somewhere, but as long as I live, she won't remain hidden forever.
For now, the Pokemon Government Council remains dead and disbanded. The sooner I find the real professor the lesser chance for the Pokemon Government Council to rise.
But, just like what Giovanni instructs, I have a mission tomorrow. Therefore, professor Violet must wait for a while before my rematch against her begins.
At my room, I confront my Pokemons for they are the ones who I can count on when it comes to battling the strongest Pokemon. If I am not mistaken, Mewtwo is a psychic type, hence I have the upper advantage due to Absol.
"Tomorrow, I will be counting on the four of you. Absol, Mawile, Kirlia, and Lily, Mewtwo will be ours!" I proclaim with conviction and sincerity.
"So, doing some inspirational villain speech huh?" Charlotte enters the room as she chuckles in a soft manner.
"I find nothing evil when it comes to encouragement. Don't you think?" As I rub Lily's forehead I smirk back to Charlotte.
"It was just a joke. Anyways, don't tell me you're going to attack Mewtwo with an onion which barely learns any new moves aren't you?" She then sits beside me and decides to pat Lily's head as well. Gladly, Lily shows a kind gesture by licking Charlotte's face.
"You have a point. Although, I have no clue on how to evolve her."
"Simple as pie! All you need is a stone called the sunstone. Once Lily touches the stone, it will automatically evolve into something elegant and delightful.
Lily is a slow learner, thus, her grass type moves are on the basic side."
"B... Basic? What do you mean by that?" Tilting my head like a confused dog, I inquire to her.
"Razor Leaf? Absorb? Vine Whip? Energy Ball? You expect those moves to defeat Mewtwo? Nope, I don't think so."
"Please help me, how should I evolve Lily? I do not have a sunstone." I then lean my face to her. With glimmering eyes, I beg to her.
"You're in luck, for I have a Sunstone with me. A random grunt gave it to me a while ago. He told me that he found it in the Johto Region from a boy with a cap of black and yellow."
"A random grunt gave you a gift? How sweet." I tease.
"What did you say?!"
"It was just a joke. Anyways, how does this so-called sunstone look like?"
Charlotte's anger cools immediately as she takes the stone from her pocket. She then places it on my grasp for me to stare on.
"Lily, what do you say? Do you wish to evolve?"
<Pet! Petilil!>With a graceful smile, she nods her head. Her oval eyes also sparkled while glancing at the stone. For one last time, I pat my Lily. Why last time? For she'll be a new Pokemon seconds later, and I can't wait to see her glorious look.
With a willing heart, Petilil taps the stone, causing her to glow in a veil of white hues. With awe, I and Charlotte watch alongside with my other Pokemons. Just by evolving, I could already smell Lily's fragrance getting sweeter and more delightful.
<Lili! Liligant!> The evolution process has ended, revealing a beautiful and elegant Pokemon called Liligant. Lilligant dons a scarlet flower with white-spotted petals upon its head; said flower has golden filaments with red anther, resembling a crown.
It possesses dark green, linear leaves under the flower, and light green, linear leaves underneath the darker leaves. One of the light green leaves, on the back of its head, is about as long as its body and resembles hair. Two light green leaves loosely hang down from its head. Its head and abdomen are white and its eyes, which resemble seeds, are a light shade of scarlet.
It has dark green, linear leaves for arms, and a golden sepal under its neck. It wears a large, light green,tulip-shaped collection of leaves, resembling a dress.
There are two long, dark green, linear leaves coming from its back to around the bottom of its "dress". It also possesses another golden, sepal-shaped extension underneath its "dress", resembling feet.
[Liligant! The flowering Pokemon, a grass type. The fragrance of the garland on its head has a relaxing effect. It withers if a Trainer does not take good care of it.
It currently knows four moves:
-Solar Beam
-Petal Blizzard
-Energy Ball
-Giga Drain] The Kanto Dex explains, showing essential data about my newly evolved Lily.
"Now that's some decent moveset." Charlotte compliments as she rubs her hands on Lily's flower.
"So tell me, what moves does Absol know?"
"Hmm, let's see. She knows shadow claw, quick attack, bite, and sword dance."
"I guess there's no problem with Absol's moveset since sword dance increases attack power, boosting the other three moves in the process. Quick attack fastens up the pace, and Shadow Claw is not that effective but when powered up with Sword dance, it'll sure deal a decent amount of damage." Charlotte explains like a Pokegenius. Astounding, where did she get all this knowledge in the first place?
"How do you know all this stuff?"
"Xavier thought me. He's a professional agent, so I decided to ask for some tips from him. About your Mawile, what moves does it know?"
"Mawile? It knows Vice Grip, Iron Head, Dazzling Gleam, and Bite."
"Not that good since you have two Pokemons which knows the move bite, therefore it won't help that much. I know, I have the perfect Technical Machine which will replace the move bite with a much more powerful move." An idea pops into Charlotte's head as she scours for a technical machine.
"This is the Ice Beam technical machine. All you have to do is to let Mawile eat this pill, and it will automatically be implanted to her moveset." Charlotte explains and hands me a blue pill, symbolizing the ice type category.
With excitement and determination, Mawile leaps to my lap and nibbles unto the blue pill. At first, she seems nauseous, giving me a hypothesis that the pill is either sour or bitter.
After a minute or so, Mawile snaps back to her normal self, a jolly and joyful Pokemon. I then scan her with my Pokedex to learn more about her moves, and it turns out Charlotte's technical machine was recorded.
"And what about Kirlia? What moves does it know?" Charlotte queries.
"Magical Leaf, Confusion, Double Team, Psybeam."
"Hmm, two booster moves, and two attack moves seems decent, thus Kirlia will be perfectly fine. Now that I have evaluated your team, I'd say, you're set for your solo mission." Charlotte pats me in the back to boost my confidence after evaluating all of my Pokemons. I smile back, to express my deepest gratitude to have a friend like her.
"About you and Xavier? Will you be alright here when I'm gone?"
"Of course! What could go wrong tomorrow? It's impossible for the traitor to interrupt. Although I have to agree, it will be boring without a timid girl to talk to.
Good luck with your mission tomorrow agent Luna Evergreen, don't fail Giovanni, you've already earned his trust. The destiny of Team Rocket and the salvation of the world, falls under your hands.
Just be confident and you'll be able to capture Mewtwo. What could go wrong?" Charlotte cheers, causing my confidence to exceed its own threshold.
The night gets deeper, and I could no longer wait for tomorrow's mission. In my bed, I stare to the abyss, thinking about strategies and plans to use against Mewtwo. And also, Charlotte is right, what could possibly go wrong?
Another character for volume two has been hinted! Who could this boy with a cap of black and yellow be? For hardcore Pokemon Fans, you probably know who's about to debut.
I used a pill instead of a cd for the technical machine because it seems odd for a Pokemon to eat a cd like in the games.
