บท 34: 33. Want me to shave your eyebrows off? Pt.2!
Sunlight peeking through the curtains, falling on the face of a certain little person, a cute scene was painted.
Like a kitten waking up, drowsy, and lost in her world, Chen Jingyun rose from her sleep.
A cute confused expression fell on her face as she looked around.
'Hmm? Where did everyone go?'
But her questions were left unanswered.
With a carefree shrug, Chen Jingyun didn't give it much thought.
Hopping out of the bed, her feet touched the cold floor. The chilling feeling slowly shaking her to awareness. Telling her it was going to be yet another cold day.
Moving across the room as she yawned and stretched she reached the water station.
Grabbing the teapot, she served herself a cup of warm water. Her movements were far from her current state of clumsiness. They were elegant, gentle, and fluid, making her look like an aristocrat's daughter.
Like she had done it several times to achieve this effect.
Finishing her cup of water, Chen Jingyun was now energized, warmed up and crystal clear awake.
She was ready to start the day.
As she checked off the boxes of her morning routine, Chen Jinyun hummed contently, thinking about what she would do today.
Perking up, she remembered she had an appointment with Lu Xin.
She would finally get a proper talk after everything that has happened...
In contrast to this cheerful setting, three guys stood just outside of room 520.
They were Su Long, Luo Shao, and Li Minghao.
Each one was crossing their arms as they engaged in a silent confrontation.
No one wanted to back down.
But an unexpected alliance was created.
Luo Shao couldn't take the heat and took a step closer to Su Long.
"Minghao, you go first." Luo Shao shots first.
"No." Li Minghao refuses!
"What? Are you scared?" Su Long counterattacks!
"...No."
It hit the right spot!
"Then go!" Su Long seizes the chance!
But Li Minghao refuses to lose!
"Aren't you the one that lost yesterday? Perform your duties!"
Right! How could he forget! Luo Shao slaps his forehead as he conveniently slides to the other side of the battle.
"Yeah, you should go, Su Long." With a nonchalant nod, Luo Shao hands the packed food to the shocked Su Long.
'You... You traitor!'
'I should have known you are easy to switch sides, you shameless brat...'
With an offended heart, Su Long takes the food package and turns to the door. An uncertain feeling brews in his gut.
Why me?!
He remembered clearly this morning's situation.
One by one, the three of them had woken up and were ready to go for breakfast.
However, a certain little guy was still hiding under the covers!
If it were his decision, Su Long would have let her be and leave for breakfast...
But a certain guy named Li Minghao suggested waking the little guy to get breakfast together!
They were only going to shake the little guy awake, there were no pranks this time, only innocent hearts.
But one touch and the little guy went berserk!
He remembered how the little guy woke up with a murderous stare and coldly said.
"What do you want."
Su Long only stared at the sleepy angry face.
"I..."
"I what? Want me to shave your eyebrows off?"
Chen Jingyun turned to look at the other two.
"You two again? Want me to shave your eyebrows off too?"
"No no no, go back to sleep your majesty..." Luo Shao dropped everything and came to the rescue.
After much coaxing, the little guy drifted off to sleep but the scar has already being done.
Is it me or the little guy's favorite phrase is to shave one's eyebrows off?
Either way, after that episode none of them truly wanted to wake Chen Jingyun anymore. Every time she was woken up, a savage little beast peeked through. It was better for her to wake up on her own.
However...
Once again, why me?!
He wasn't the one that suggested to wake up the little guy nor bring the little guy food!
If Li Minghao wants to be thoughtful and nice, let him be it!
Su Long turned around with a harrumph.
"No, you do it Minghao. I won't stand for this injustice. This is bullying the weak!" Su Long shoved the food package into Li Minghao's hands and moved out of the way.
"Uh..." Luo Shao looked between the two.
'Is it suitable for me to change sides now?' He asked himself.
Looking at the resolute Su Long, Li Minghao only pursed his lips.
"Fine, I will do it." Li Minghao grabbed a firm hold on the food package and took the lead.
But he too was hesitant! A visible drop of sweat could be seen on his forehead!
He may not look like it but he was quite fond of his eyebrows...
'My eyebrows are pretty nice...'
Shaking the thought out of his head, Li Minghao braced himself for what is to come.
Like ripping a bandaid in one go, Li Minghao opened the door.
He didn't know what exactly he would find but he never thought it would be a dressed-up little guy smiling at the phone.
"Oh? You guys are back?" Chen Jingyun looked up with that same smile.
The three of them blinked confused at her. They wondered how the little guy could have such an extreme change of aura!
"Ah... yes. We brought food for you." Li Minghao awkwardly lifted the food package.
"Really? Thank you so much, I was starving!" Chen Jingyun hopped out of her seat and skipped towards the three guys standing at the door.
Noticing the strange stares, Chen Jingyun raised an eyebrow.
"Did I do something?"
The three guys glanced at each other, not knowing how to respond.
'Should we tell him?'
Quickly, Luo Shao made that decision.
"Uh, you wanted to shave our eyebrows off for waking you up..."
"Wait, I did what?"

Throwing their heads back in a laugh, Lu Xin and Chen Jingyun enjoyed an evening at a little cozy restaurant. Chen Jingyun had recounted what happened this morning.
Slapping her hand on the table, Lu Xin said between laughs.
"Remember when Instructor Mei took upon herself the task to get you to wake up on time, you told her the same thing! 'Oy, you want me to shave your eyebrows off?'" Lu Xin imitated a gangster tone.
"That was so embarrassing." Chen Jingyun covered her face as she shook her head.
"Anyway," Lu Xin set a different tone to the conversation. "I'm here to warn you."
"Warn me?"
Lu Xin nodded. "You should consider changing roommates."
Chen Jingyun was taken back at such a request.
"Why?"
Shaking her head at her friend, Lu Xin arched an eyebrow.
"Do you know who you are staying with?"
"Do you know who I am staying with?" Chen Jingyun cheekily shot back.
"Of course, I did my homework." Lu Xin said nonchalantly. "So, do you know who they are?"
Sighing, Chen Jingyun already envisioned Fu Wang's speech in Lu Xin's mouth.
"Does it matters so much if they belong to prestigious families?"
Lu Xin chuckled.
"If you happen to be caught. How else are we going to buy their mouth? Money? It won't be enough for them. We might have to marry you off, you know."
Chen Jingyun's eyebrow twitched.
Marry me off?
"Wow, you guys have so much faith in me not getting caught." Chen Jingyun sarcastically rolled her tongue.
"It is just a contingency plan."
"Well, I promise I won't get caught."
Lu Xin only arched her eyebrow, but she decided to give her friend the benefit of doubt.
"Fine."
Clearing her throat, Chen Jingyun shifted the subject. "How about you tell me what are you doing here?"
Knowing this subject was coming up, Lu Xin could only sep her tea with calm.
"Just like last time, I'm here to look out for you. Only this time I will protect you from far."
"So you came to babysit me once again?"
Lu Xin nodded.
"And my grandfather sent you?"
Lu Xin shook her head.
"No?" Chen Jingyuna arched her eyebrow in doubt.
Who else will send her here?
"I requested this position."
Stunned, Chen Jingyun couldn't help but feel touched.
"You're not lying, right?"
"Why would I lie about this type of thing?" Lu Xin laughed it off. "Who else is going to enjoy watching you making a fool out of yourself?"
Chen Jingyun didn't say anything. She just got up and hugged her friend in silence.
Even if they haven't talked about Lu Xin's previous mission, where she was by her side just because she was her bodyguard, now, because of her decisions, Chen Jingyun knew she could wholeheartedly regard Lu Xin as a friend.

After a happy evening out, Chen Jingyun was back at the dorms.
Pushing the door open, she was met with three faces looking right back at her.
And one of those faces, Luo Shao's, looked at her with unmistakable happiness.
"What?"
Like deja vu, she remembered that night's feeling.
Something bad was going to happen.
"Initiation night!"
