Days passed by as the temperature continued to drop. The coldness was countered by the central heating system of the hospital. As people were bustling inside and outside of the vicinity, one private ward was filled with silence.
Kyoya returned from the washroom after pouring out the warm water he used to wipe Shouko down. The sleeves of his sweater were folded up to his elbows. Kyoya took a white-colored bag from the bedside table. After sanitizing his hands, he started to apply the skincare products to his wife.
"My love, today, the temperature has dropped again," Kyoya spoke as gently as ever as he carefully patted the toner on her skin. He then moved to the serum next, "The forecaster said the first snow might fall today or tomorrow. It would be a lovely day."
"...Ryota argued with Grandpa over the person-in-charge... Hehe, they are so childish... Yuki always has to act as a mediator..."
FINALLY! The sad chapters are finally over (T^T) I've been tormented by the amount of angst and tears I have to shed while writing them. But, I can't make them short as I thought it's crucial to see what actually happened to Shouko that made Kyoya decided to keep her in the dark about their son.
And, this would be the third as well as the last volume. The end is near!
No more terribly angsty chapters in the future. Well, there might be some but it's not overly long like the past few ones.
Enjoy!
