บท 259: Don't Look. It'd Be Over Soon

What came next was the most thing Shouko dreaded of.

When Little Riceball's small body was slid inside the crematorium chamber, Shouko almost ran forward to snatch his lifeless body back. If not for Kyoya holding her back, she would really do so. Kyoya held her tightly, both of his eyes were red as his jaw went taut.

"Little Riceball... He... It must be painful for him, right? He has always been afraid of things burning. We... Why don't we stop it?" Shouko tried to break free from his arms but Kyoya exerted more pressure on her, forbidding her from running away from him.

"Shouko, don't look," Kyoya pulled her face, pressing her head to his chest, "Don't look. It'd be over soon."

The sound of Shouko's sobs faintly echoed in the room. Kyoya just let her cried. Even though her eyes had been swollen badly, he didn't have the heart to force her to stop crying.
