When the morning came, light rain was still pouring from the sky. The sound of its steady drumming against the roofs and windows constructed a beautiful serenade. The serenity brought by the rain blanketed the mansion in comforting silence.

Shouko lightly shook her head, her cheeks and nose inadvertently grazing a soft fabric layering a sturdy chest. Her lashes fluttered as she tried to lure herself from the dreamland. The corners of her lips lifted up as she was met with a familiar sight.

Kyoya was still deep in sleep. One of his arms pillowed her head while the other draped over her waist. The sound of his light breath was intertwined with the melody of the rain outside the room.

He looked so much in peace.

Shouko raised up her hand from his chest. The tips of her fingers grazed over the upper part of his lips. She stifled a laugh at how ticklish it felt whenever his breath fell on her skin.
