บท 10: Those damn kids.

So my bike is my pride and joy. It is also my biggest pain in the ass, as I am constantly replacing tires and tubes. See the complex i live in is a nice complex. The kids however aren't as nice. With the virus forcing us in to quarantine, kids have nothing to do but stay home and play fortnite, so when mommy takes away system and says go play out side what do they do. they find a stick and rock, or some piece of glass in the dumpsters, and go around slashing tires. Most cars and trucks get scraped but when it comes to bikes those kids do hundreds of dollars of damage. slashing tires, knocking them over, hell they even cut brake and fuel lines, completely ruining the bikes. However I used to keep mine in a storage unit, till my dad decided to go register it with me before the quarantine. And having seen what these kids do to bikes. I put on a camera that had motion sensor, and left the bike parked be side our truck Two days later, sure enough the bike was in pieces, like some one took a wrench, a bat and a god damn hammer to it. All the gas and oil was all over the place and every thing busted. Even the camera. How ever the kids didn't grab the SD card that had the footage. All the parents were notified, and the kids who were old enough went to the juvenile detention center, or JDC as it is often called. Two of the kids families had tried to convince the judges that their "little angels" would never do something like that, but the evidence was to much. all the parents were forced to cough up enough money to by me a new bike. About two thousand from each family, and while they struggle to pay rent I bought a new polaris slingshot. I do feel slightly bad for some of the parents, as they never thought their kid could do something like this, and practically put their kids in handcuffs them selves, but in the end im sure their kids will not be very happy when they come home and see their TVs Computers, phones, and game systems gone.
