With Akira safe at first, Shiro walked up to the plate. But Shiro couldn't stay for long and got struck out after fouling 3 pitches continuously, he missed the pitch to the outside. Suzaku was the next batter who didn't do any better. He swung his bat on the first pitch and the ball flew into the left field.
