I thoroughly enjoyed this story until the last chapter. Never should a book end like this. I'm not just talking about the death, but you just left it hanging, you didn't tie anything up. Many of your characters got a happy ending except the pair that should have. If you do kill off a main character, the story needs to leave the reader feeling something other than disgust for the abrupt ending. Your writing style, story and design were very good, but the ending just destroyed it all for me.
