บท 52: ch 51
As soon we arrive at Melissa's villa we escorted pass the guards, guarding the property line while Melissa warned the guards to let no one pass by and if they do their lives are forfeit which seemed to get their attention as they immediately began to push back the crowd that didn't get the message the first time when she told them to fuck off inside we are all sat down at a conference table with the staff escorted to wait outside as the room is locked down from the outside world with everyone adding a layer of their own to secure the room.
Devon:"Earlier you mentioned that you are half spirit how is that possible?"
Me:"It is and that is all I will explain concerning that" as I release a bit of my spiritual form to prove what I am
moon elf(M):"How is this fair when you explain your origin!?"
Me:"Watch your tone elf I may only be half but I am still a spirit and when has spirit explained their inner workings to another even when requested!?" Devon glares at him warning him to be silent then gave a look to the sister
moon elf(F) :"I would like to apologize for on my brother's behalf as he let hatred for humanity cloud his judgment" much to her brother's chagrin
Me:"And you are?"
moon elf:"Aranel and this hooligan is my brother Elrond, can you enlighten us to what kind of spirit you are?"
Me:"I'm an evil spirit with multiple affinities"
Lucy:"Master is not evil!"
Me:"Of course I am its why we're a good fit" which makes Lucy smile lost in her thoughts
leemar kin:"If you're a spirit why are linking yourself to a beast kin I'm Crystal by the way"
Me:"It isn't impossible for a spirit to bond with a beast man or beast kin it is just unlikely because the sacred beast guard beast people jealously from outside forces unless the beast person willingly chooses to accept it excluding the gods and other foreign powers which is why gods dislike beast people as they gain nothing from their worship and why humanity is usually at odds with beast people"
This bit of information caused everyone in the room to go quiet the only reason I am aware of this is because while spirits are rare to find in the human empire that is not the case for the sultanate where exists but are for most part ignored which why I began talking to them they told me all sorts of things in order to keep the conversation going as they were bored and liked talking to a anomaly such as myself.
Melissa:"What do you mean by the gods are a foreign power!?"
Me:"It is exactly as it sounds although this is common knowledge to elves which is in part why they are isolationist to prevent the gods from turning their eyes toward them the gods come from a different different world feeding off of the worship of their followers across many worlds by spreading their faith while providing very little just enough to keep their followers and why they revile beings like spirits and sacred beast if your family was a follower of the gods I never would have agreed to the engagement and your father would not suggest it which is why you should never mention this to anyone or your whole family would be in danger" as I still had need of them
silver wolf:"So you are saying that the reason why humans enslave and make war with the beast empire is because of the gods and that the withheld this information from us!?"
Me:"Not entirely as the enslavement of other races is probably a learned behavior from emulating the gods humans would have started a war with other nations regardless of the gods due to their nature of seeking profit at the expense of others" humans would enslaved other species anyway but I needed to mix truth and lies in order to produce the best results
Melissa:"You are supposed to win their trust to open up trade not describe humans as greedy pawns of the gods!"
Me:"But I am doing my job I basically convinced them that they shouldn't do business with any other group especially with the church, royalty of the empire nor the emperor himself by being upfront I eliminated all competition as the Verde family doesn't have strong ties to any of those factions but we do have enough power to stand on our own making us the ideal candidate for trade isn't that right?" I say while looking at emissaries and Devon immediately catches the hint
Devon:"Of course with the honesty and knowledge of house Verde we would be foolish to try to look elsewhere for trading partners!"
